Morning.. been watching this for a while now
scan date 25/10
outcome 27/2
was previously awarded MRC in 2016
put in a change of circumstances as now she’s 13 and is significantly different to any another 13 year old so was expecting HRC LRM
they came back to me with MRC LRM.. I could have cried!!! I’m absolutely gutted! Sent in so much evidence and took me hours to do the forms. Obviously put in a MR yesterday and spent another 2 hours on the phone.. felt like I was repeating myself a lot which is kind of frustrating. So my question is do I now have to wait until a decision has been made about the care side until I get the backpay from the mobility side..? Thank you :)

Don't quote me on this because I might be wrong, but I think you get the back pay on what you have been awarded as that's in place and if they change their mind you would get the difference when that decision is made. Again don't quote me I might be wrong

mummyof3girlsx · 29/02/2024 09:32

ahh thank you everyone, let wait and see how it goes! fingers crossed for everyone waiting this is torture!!! @Mothertothreeboys I am 2/11 I didn't call up for forms I had them myself :) xx

mummyof3girlsx · 29/02/2024 09:39

@Mothertothreeboys honestly i have been told so many different things over the past week, the fact it went to a CM yday gives me a really small bit of relief - i did say to him is it usually about 2 weeks from now? and he said well that's what we say however as we are so so busy they are flying through them so i will give it a couple of days and see what happens. He also mentioned sometimes they call for further checks so keep an eye out on the phone for a phone call, i have also requested a text - i will leave it now and call monday if i don't hear anything x

Siobhan1090 · 29/02/2024 09:40

@Kyarcy1316 thank you so much for your response! Xx

Oh, dear… sounds a lot like our situation. My son was awarded MRC and LRM when he was 3, obviously things have changed A LOT since then and unfortunately, not for the better. He struggles so much that he spent most of yr7 attending school for 1 hour a day (SEN base). His new teacher suggested he should have HRM and HRC and a blue badge as they are trying to get him out in the community and it’s so difficult even with a 2-2-1 ratio.
I called to enquire and they sent me a form, I added all the documents I have from recent school reports and appointments. I genuinely thought teacher couldn’t be wrong about this as she has seen so many kids… oh, well, fingers crossed, it’s hard to make a decision when you only have a couple of pieces of paper to assess the situation. Wish they could see what it’s like 🥺

Siobhan1090 · 29/02/2024 10:31

@Chickapea77 i sobbed yesterday my daughter has a chromosome deletion and was diagnosed with epilepsy in 2020.. she has a severe learning and disability delay and all the information I provided I truly believe she should of got HRC. The educational psychologist said she’s at a year 1 level and she’s in year 8. Worst part is I hate claiming of her disability so left it for nearly 3 years before doing a change of circumstances.. I’m not one of those that will exaggerate her health like some for money! It’s infuriates me! :(

mummyof3girlsx · 29/02/2024 10:32

What’s your scan date?

Ree55 · 29/02/2024 11:08

Decided to bite the bullet and call. On hold for 55 mins.

Scan date 1/11
1 text 12/2

Was awarded 27/2 mrc lrm no text received to say decision made.
In absolute shock as I didn't think I'd written enough.
Good luck everyone waiting for awards and decisions. 🤞🤞🤞

@mummyof3girlsx thankyou can I also ask did you request forms in October then so roughly about 20 weeks or more since the request of forms as I’m 13/11 since requesting forms and scan date is 22/11 so I’ve been told around end of march beging of April I should hear something x
