Scan date 01-11 .. I’ve just received a text to say my son qualifies! No more lurking for me! Good luck everyone 🙏 stay sane out there xx

Fantastic! So pleased for you!
Im 3/11 but rude lady on phone said around April and not with DM, but I know things can change.
Im happy you’ve been awarded- the unknown and wait is the worst!

bonz2023 · 28/02/2024 09:18

I just called 7/11 still not with anyone she said it's taking 18 weeks for a decision so I'm looking at mid March

I'm not phoning again just going to wait it out and hope for the best!

sjm100 · 28/02/2024 09:29

I’m 16 weeks on Friday (scan date 10/11) ans I’ve never received any texts - only received 1 letter back in November to say received claim. Should I ring? What’s the number?

mooneigh · 28/02/2024 10:02

Does anyone know how long Renewals are taking ?

Cookieam · 28/02/2024 10:04

I was awarded the 23rd which was Friday which would be 17 weeks exactly ,with the DM a few days before , I phoned but she never said ,so anxious all weekend for no reason .
So yours will be with DM if your scan date is then .
I received no text just money .
Fingers crossed for you as I know the wait it's utter hell x

Sharniexxx7 · 28/02/2024 10:08

Gemmaoscar · 28/02/2024 10:09

The wait is awful will be worse if it’s a decline that part I’m dreading hopefully it’s all over soon x

mummyof3girlsx · 28/02/2024 10:11

@Cookieam this gives me hope. i am 17 weeks tomorrow - i called and was told no decision yet but that was about it! x

WhereDidTheTimeGo888 · 28/02/2024 10:16

@Jessyjay11 just seen that you’ve been awarded! Such a long wait for you, but it’s finally over. I’m so, so pleased for you xx ❤️

WhereDidTheTimeGo888 · 28/02/2024 10:21

@Jessyjay11 we were awarded last week, HRC/LRM. Only knew because I had a payment in my account. Got 3 letters on Saturday. 1 saying about the award until 1 day before his 17th birthday 2025. Then the next letter saying I needed to apply for PIP and he might not get anything and I had to send the letter back by the 18th March or it would all stop. I think the 3rd letter was saying to spend the money wisely.

Kellyfoo12345 · 28/02/2024 10:27

I tried to ring at 9 and give up plus I think if I was told something different I would have flipped u would think they would realise people are constantly ringing because they chat complete gaf on the fone

Soph1517 · 28/02/2024 10:42

Morning,
Scan date 27/10 I received a text this morning saying my son qualifies, so I called, amazingly it's HRC and LRM and they're backdating to date I called despite them not scanning onto the system in time.
I can sleep again now, it's mad how this process can take over your whole mind. Good luck to everyone and well done to everyone else's babies awarded x

Jonesy0102 · 28/02/2024 10:42

Anyone know how long MRs are taking or doing one how long have you waited
thanks

@Jonesy0102 into my second week so far (awarded LRC would have thought MRC) I was told 6-8 weeks - but have seen some posts saying that they are on week 9 and week 11 of MR :(

Margot82x · 28/02/2024 10:48

@Soph1517 congratulations on the award! Xx

SL93 · 28/02/2024 10:51

I’m waiting should hear about a decision at the end of March and I feel like there’s no much riding on this to be able to get my son more support, I’m really struggling with it. I just wondered if there’s anyone who’s been awarded without diagnosis? My son in almost 3 and can say very few words but does not communicate what so ever and has very little understanding of basic day to day acitivites. I obviously don’t have evidence from many health professionals but I did have…a couple of letters from speech therapy with statements of discussions, plus an additional letter detailing observation and referring for autism assessments (but that wait is a long one) a statement from the SEN at his nursery detailing how difficult the day can be for him, 2 year health visitor check to show not meeting milestones, multiple nursery assessments saying not at target and then a statement from myself of day to day life/difficulties. I’m just wondering if anyone in a similar position has been awarded. I’m terrified it gets declined as I have support groups and everything for him where they need a DLA letter or diagnosis but this seems to be quicker, the nursery can also get more funding to support his needs. TIA x

Ok thanks for your reply and letting me know howLong they’re taking we got MRC but we’ve decided to appeal as they only mentioned the child needed day time needs when she actually needs day/night

Edited

You’ll be fine hang in there we seen a send worker at the local doctors for SLT amd she offered a letter of support we got one and used that sent it in late you should have enough evidence there

Gemmaoscar · 28/02/2024 10:59

@SL93 you sound in the same situation as me u have more evidence than we do my sons 2 years 4 months non verbal I have support from senco at nursery, referal for autism acceptance letter referal for speech and language acceptance and peadtrician acceptance letter hearing test results and what I’ve wrote I’m expecting a decline don’t feel I went into enough detail suppose it’s a wait a see, my son needs constant supervision at sleep time as he tries to get under mattress which nursery have backed up and chews through dummies like there sweets has zero understanding
