BT1 · 27/02/2024 10:33

Scan date 26/10.
just got through to a guy who said it can’t be looked at until a national insurance number is generated. Has anyone experienced this and know how long that process takes?
I have received no texts or emails and only knew they had received it as I rang about a month ago.

Happy 16 weeks day to me, wonder if I'll have any movement today 😬

🤞🏼 I am 16 week tomorrow. When I called up yesterday the woman said it’s taking 16 weeks. She literally just kept saying it and nothing else. so hopefully now we are at the 16 week mark we will get some news!! I’ll be calling Friday if I don’t hear anything.

MeMyCatsAndMyBooks · 27/02/2024 10:37

Just to give you a idea of renewals.

My sons claim was due to end 24/03, sent back renewal 16/01 received letter 13/02 stating 4 year award till he moves over to PIP, same rates as before. So renewals are being dealt with very fast.

Mommakee · 27/02/2024 11:01

27/10 scan date
nothing for us yet x

Lolly966 · 27/02/2024 11:11

xxAmy yeah I will do! I’m trying to hold of calling as I don’t want to be told it’s in a holding pile😩 let me know if you ring up!

Is a renewal same as a change of circumstances? I called in December to request a review and was told to do the form but they warned me it could change for better or for worse? Obviously things are very different now as it’s been almost 10 years since the first claim! I don’t even remember ever having a review or a renewal? When do they move to PIP… does that involve doing another claim? I find it soul destroying to fill in those forms 😭

Marie156 · 27/02/2024 12:17

Does anyone know how long it takes for the disabled element of universal credit to be verified? The carers element was verified soon as I did the COC but not the disabled ?

Mummy595 · 27/02/2024 12:23

I received a text yesterday saying they are still looking at the claim and will confirm the decision once ones been made in writing no need to call. Has anyone else received a text like this. Does this text mean I'll receive a decision soon? On week 15

rjnicola · 27/02/2024 12:28

Yes l received the same text yesterday. The letters you receive states 15 weeks which they are not achieving. I was told they send that out to try and curb the calls that are made 15 weeks asking an update on a claim

Lisa12188 · 27/02/2024 12:28

@Mummy595 I received the same text yesterday, my scan date is 16/11. But i called last week and the very blunt lady told me i should hear by 1st week in April. x

KateKing · 27/02/2024 12:35

Hi all,
I’ve been watching these threads for a good few weeks now
scan date 31/10 and just got the nerve to call. Hour and 15 min on hold!
my claim is with a decision maker now
any ideas how much longer my wait will be once with a DM please?
good luck to you all - it’s bloody soul destroying waiting!

Margot82x · 27/02/2024 13:08

@KateKing they said around 2 weeks once with a DM xx

RainsbowandBunnies · 27/02/2024 13:38

Hi @Gracie1909 so does it mention both elements on the one letter. I don't think it matters on the number of, just the contents of the letter. They will be calculating the backpay from all previous months now hopefully x

Margot82x · 27/02/2024 13:47

I called last week and was told that a decision should be made by the 2nd week of March (scan date 22/11) and I will receive a text with the outcome.

Ive just got an extra piece of evidence, if I send out tomorrow, Thursday latest do you think it will get there and be scanned before it goes to a DM? I can’t ring and update with this one and it’s a detailed document.

I wish this whole process was done online 😭

MLW92 · 27/02/2024 14:09

Just seen on another page someone has been awarded at 15+1 day, how does their system actually work if that's the case?! Hopefully not much longer of a wait for everyone 🤞

MeMyCatsAndMyBooks · 27/02/2024 14:12

@Chickapea77 no. Renewals are just that, a renewal of a claim. They get the priority as obviously they don't want anyone claims stopping.

COC are just as long as new claims maybe a bit longer wait.

I know! It makes me wonder if the date you rang for the forms and if you get them in before the deadline makes any difference to time scale. Also, I would presume if they have to speak to doctors, schools etc and how quickly they reply before DM can decide can hold them up too.

I don't think the date you rang for the forms makes much difference either, my scan date is 06/11 making me 16 weeks this week but rang for the forms 19/10 which would make me at nearly 20 weeks, when I rang on monday I wasn't even with a DM then. None of the system makes any sense to me.

MLW92 · 27/02/2024 14:55

@Leopardprintleelan i know! I rang for forms on the 8/11 but sent mines back in December and they were scanned on at 12/12 which was way before my deadline, so hopefully by end of march/start of April for me. I rang regarding additional evidence a few weeks ago, and they told me I was x amount of weeks, which meant from scan date, but then you see people awarded weeks earlier than others I just don't get it. My son has a diagnosis so I'm waiting to see if that actually speeds it up, because I doubt they have to contact anyone regarding my case, there's 33 pages of evidence lol. Il keep everyone updated though because I'm only 11 weeks from scan date and I find it painful nevermind people on 18 weeks and still nothing!

Gracie1909 · 27/02/2024 15:05

@RainsbowandBunnies thankyou no just said we are accepting the late change of circumstances due to special changes. So presuming both. But how long after u got that letter did u get the payment letter, was it 3 days after did you say x

Alirut · 27/02/2024 15:17
