I sent my claim it got received 5/2 and was scanned on that day received my first letter last week, so unsure they told you that.

My claim has been received but they wrote to me asking for birth cert which I sent along with some further evidence over a month ago and they said that hadn’t been scanned yet but I think they are lying to be honest sounds like it’s missing

Hey just to give some hope I was told no point calling til March, was told beginning, middle and end... awarded middle Feb, ignore! Some just get a kick out of giving people anxiety
Also asked for a text numerous times, they noted down but never got 1
I'm still checking in for your updates @bonz2023 and @mummyof3girlsx ❤️

Aww we missed you @RainsbowandBunnies

They sent me a letter too asking I just sent it off today special delivery my sons birthday certificate, have you got a tracking reference? It's so bad if they have lost it, did they say anything about trying to find it?

mummyof3girlsx · 26/02/2024 17:11

@RainsbowandBunnies aww thank you x yes your so right, I think they just say whatever they fancy saying tbh! X will defo keep you updated

SL93 · 26/02/2024 12:26

My scan date was 15/12 so it’s not looking very good for me really, it sounds like they’ve lost the birth cert and the most significant piece of evidence I had. I don’t even know how that will affect my claim because when I ask they just said it’ll be waiting to be scanned and not to worry

Hey. I thought they lost my sons birth certificate because they said they hadn’t received it yet when I sent it 11th Jan. I called last week they said that it should have been processed already and I might need to get another one. Then on Saturday I received it back in the post. So don’t listen to them.

Just parking

xxAmy · 26/02/2024 17:29

Mariehanna · 26/02/2024 17:34

@Amyz123mummyto3 same here I missed a months pay but I sent forms back befor they scanned them late 🙄

Mellieg11 · 26/02/2024 17:55

The DM working on some of our november dates needs to work through their lunch break haha

Shaf89 · 26/02/2024 18:11

In regards to the person asking about birth certificate not being scanned. Mine was posted end of November - by January I was told it’s still not on the system and when I spoke to them we assumed it had gone missing in the Xmas post. I then went out of my way to send a second copy via the jobcentre…
this got scanned in right away and was on there within a week. By end of Jan, my two original birth certificates that I had first posted came back to me! (I have two applications in progress)

I think they do eventually get it sorted. It’s just a very very slow system!

@Charmazing yay congratulations! Love a good news post 🥳

Thank you so much :)

I would definitely recommend calling them at 18 weeks, they seem to know a bit more by then.

wishing you the best of luck, I hope you get an answer soon 😊

TamGirl89 · 24/02/2024 10:33

I've heard that a couple of times now. Really hope it's right!
Thank you 👍🏻 xx

We have been migrated recently, had to wait for weeks to find out how much it was going to be as it’s a month in arrears rather than weekly. Unfortunately when they updated the amount it was just over half what we had been getting from tax credits, I was so worried, there was no transitional element and it was hard to make sense of it.
I wrote a note on the journal just asking them to look into it and they replied saying they had missed the carer element and the transitional payment (to make up the difference) which I supposed took us back to the same (ish) amount.

I do not know, however, when or how that element disappears… if it’s 12 months, then it will be a big drop eventually.

Husband works but I get carers allowance, it seems like it will eventually go down significantly.

my5to1 · 26/02/2024 18:52

@Charmazing do you think it depends on where we are and location? I know Ireland is quicker so it must do, we are in London so probably says it all really.. but I’m going to call Friday which makes me 17 plus two and see ?

Laurenvik · 26/02/2024 18:57

Iv been waiting since October 4th. 21 weeks Wednesday. Sent off on September 9th.
So frustrating

Chickapea77 · 26/02/2024 19:05

Hi! Does anyone here know if the waiting/decision times are the same for a CoC than for a new claim? I called them for a review just before Christmas and they had the form on the New Year, had one letter saying 11 weeks which will be April. I did send quite a lot of evidence but surely more straightforward than starting from scratch, right? 🤔

That worries me so much! 🥺 And seems so incredibly unfair 😔

Didn’t mean to worry you, sorry. The mistake was fixed swiftly although initially I felt a bit crushed. My concern now is what happens when they take the transitional payment away. For us, tax credits had already dropped a lot when our teen decided to stop studying in the autumn so it was a double hit. Thank goodness we know at least it’s ok for now. You will be fine, just don’t be afraid to query it if it’s less than it used to be, they will fix it. And obviously, your circumstances may be different and you may even be better off!

Bless you, honestly it's all just such a battle and struggle constantly isn't it!
You've actually helped more than you know with messaging, so thank you!
I do agree though, it's a brilliant idea doing this transitional support.... But long term... That's the worry!
Thank you again xx

Komahra · 26/02/2024 20:48

And when MR dud they ever change decision to lower award?

MummyCaz123 · 26/02/2024 21:13

Hi all. Does anyone know how long after receiving a text saying your child qualifies does a payment go into your bank? Thanks in advance.

susansaucepan · 26/02/2024 22:03

I have phoned today to be told my child has been awarded MRC and nothing for mobility .

Has anyone had this changed through a mandatory reconsideration?
