im 3/11 too called this morning to be told mid march. they dont know what on earth they are on about clearly. Watching this thread is making me realise this

Same scan date as me 3/11. Im currently trying to get though so I'll see what they say

I sent my claim it got received 5/2 and was scanned on that day received my first letter last week, so unsure they told you that.

Aw gosh no way that’s over the 20 week it’s so stressful I thought all times I were coming down apparently not xx

Just phoned up to find out my daughter was awarded! Scan date was 30/10. Fingers crossed everyone gets their answers soon!x

It depends on what holding pile you’re in, as some DM get through their piles quicker as opposed to other DMs. Hence why some mid Nov dates have been awarded, whereas others who have an early Nov date haven’t.

Had a nice lady for once. She said the time frame to go to a decision maker is 16-17 weeks so should go to dm this week.. And should have a decision within 2 weeks

How would I find what holding pile am in please? When phoned this morning I said I was calling for a update she said it’s not with any one yet there still doing October dates lol 😂

My sons been diagnosed with Selective Mutism ( an anxiety disorder ) and that can very closely go hand in hand with autism/adhd ( I also queried ODD ) as like yours, my son is super clever. Because he masks at school the senco there is being very difficult with us, she seems to think because he’s had the SM diagnosis then he doesn’t need anything else, even though last week when I went on a training course with SALT she agreed that she thinks he needs referring for further assessment, and our GP won’t help as they said school should be dealing with it all. It’s resulted in me making a complaint to school and I’m not waiting for an appointment with school senco again. Everything’s a battle when I feel it shouldn’t have to be, I don’t want my son diagnosed with conditions he doesn’t have, but I also know mums instinct is best and me and his dad have said since he was 2 we feel there’s something further. So difficult when they mask so well at school. Because of my sons SM he’s completely mute at school so that’s why I’m having a battle, I’d love someone to be a fly on the wall in our house after school. Just so they understood my battle from them until about 11pm every night

You can’t. You just need to go off by what dates they’re telling you. Like I’ve been told 16 weeks, whereas someone else has been told 18 weeks. I’m assuming the pile I’m in is getting wizzed through, as opposed to the other person and what pile they are in. It’s just all about sheer luck I guess.

Hi, I've been following for a while. My scan date is 30/10. I phoned on Thursday and I was told it's taking between 18 and 20 weeks. The lady I spoke to also said to start checking my bank account beginning to middle of March as payment will arrive in my bank before I receive a letter, that's assuming that my son is awarded. This waiting is horrible isn't it x

If awarded does the back pay start from your scan date for DLA and UC disabled child & caters element? Thanks.

Yes it does

If you mean backpay for disabled and carers element then yes if you mean backpay for dla, that starts from the date you called for the forms unless you were late sending them back, if you were late then yes it's awarded from scan date

I still feel so deflated after the phone call, can’t believe it’s going to be at least another month when it’s been 17 weeks. Going to try and forget about it for a month now (if that’s possible!) and anything sooner is a bonus.

Coming on here and seeing November's dates being awarded is so disheartening ,calling up you get different answers each time .
It feels my life is on hold ,I darent leave my phone incase someone calls.
Checking my bank wondering if my son's being awarded .
It's going to be what it's going to be so just going to try and put it out of my head as I'm on 18 weeks and counting .

Hey just to give some hope I was told no point calling til March, was told beginning, middle and end... awarded middle Feb, ignore! Some just get a kick out of giving people anxiety
Also asked for a text numerous times, they noted down but never got 1

Ahh brilliant!! Great news!! 👏👏 I called today the woman wasn’t helpful at all! Just said it will be sorted at 16 weeks I said I’m 16 weeks on Wednesday and she said it will be sorted soon then! 🤦🏻‍♀️ didn’t mention if it was with a decision maker or anything. I’ll call them again Friday if I haven’t heard anything. 🤞🏼🤞🏼 xx
