New thread as this 1 is nearing the end now

I’ve been advised it’s taking 16 weeks from scan date, so my sons claim should be sent to a DM end of this week/start of next week. Let’s hope so, ay.

This means its been sent to a decision maker, but ring in to be sure.

I sent quite a lot of bits in from school jan 24th I thought last Wednesday exactly at 16 weeks let me call and actually check they have it, anyway hour and a half later got through got told they have it and it will be up to 20 weeks, the lady was quite abrupt! she said we will write to you no need to call us again, feeling a bit deflated about calling again! The wait is so draining. But congratulations to all who have got awards today/ over the weekend, and fingers crossed for the rest of us

Just called this morning on a hunt for my son’s birth certificate. Apparently things have only been scanned up to Jan 10th as of today x

Took me 1hr 7m to get through. I'm 13w in this week scan date 01/12 was seeing if add info was received and lady has told me they are aiming to process in 16 weeks but some are taking 20 🙄

@1slamkh it’s not when the DM picks it up it’s just one that gets sent sent at 15 weeks. I got one last Thursday and mines still in a holding pile. I got my hopes up to lol xx

Has anyone applied for carers allowance recently, how long has it taken? Tia

I sent additional info on 7/2 and it was scanned in on the 8/2

What was your original scan date for the claim? This has got me so stressed this morning spoken to 2 people and one saying it should already be scanned one said it would be in a couple of weeks because only scanned up until 10/01. So I don’t know if they add it to records based on your original scan date or something. We’re supposed to have a decision in 4 weeks according to the letters

My scan date is 8/1, so a fairly new claim.
The system is so messed up, it should be online so we can track and upload additional information. That way we wouldn't need to call x

My scan date was 15/12 so it’s not looking very good for me really, it sounds like they’ve lost the birth cert and the most significant piece of evidence I had. I don’t even know how that will affect my claim because when I ask they just said it’ll be waiting to be scanned and not to worry

I called last Tuesday was still in pile waiting to go to DM, I'm too scared to ring again in fear i get told it's a decline lol.
He said should hear by mid march latest 🤞🏼

Hopefully they find it and scan it on asap!!
I've never understood why they need the birth certificate when it's a legal document that should be on their systems

scan date 20/11

I’m starting to get really anxious, I’m on week 19 and my scan date was 19/10 and they seem to be moving onto the Novembers now but mine still hasn’t been decided. Rang this morning and he said it might still be a couple of weeks yet because I sent extra evidence a week ago but he also said it wouldn’t stop a decision from being made. I rang last week on Monday and they said it’d be the end of that week and it wasn’t. It’s got my anxiety sky high

Scan date 25/10. Finally cracked and rang for the first time today at 17+5. On hold for an hour (11-12) and spoke to a nice person. No decision yet, it is with someone so shouldn't be long at all is what I was told.

@Jesspa - I think lots of awards around our dates are still happening now. The Nov ones I've seen have mostly been people who rang in for forms earlier than that.

@mummyof3girlsx I rang this morning and he's been awarded middle rate care which I'm happy with it was awarded Friday I would have been 18 week today hope u get your award soon xx
