@Emma2345 I’m awaiting on a decisions for my 3 year old likely autistic son. I sent with it the Pre-schools EHCP application, an educational consultant report and and a communication and interaction report, and the letter saying he had been accepted onto the NHS autism waitlist in my area.. I don’t have a diagnosis as I’ve been told it’s a 3.5 year wait!

Emma2345 · 07/02/2024 22:47

@ThatsGoingToHurt ok Thankyou yeah school are going to apply for an EHCP the nursery he is in is a sure stsrt nursery but it’s with in the school grounds of the propper school he will be attending so they have said they are going to apply for the EHCP to be done for September when he starts propper nursery at 3 years of age I’m so stressed with worry as I no he is entitled
to dla and It was school and the HV who mentioned me applying for it as he requires extra care and supervision both day and night , I have had to replace my cooker as he smashed the glass and 2 tvs alone in the last 5 months due to the meltdowns he has he has threw things at them and smashed them which aren’t cheap ,, and also because he has no sense of danger awareness and climbes out of pram and runs off near busy roads and also if I have reins or hold his hands he bites me and kicks off to the point I have nearly let go of his hand and hees tried to run into the roads and because he also doesn’t sleep another reason we have to get taxis to and from school is because I am so exhausted waking up after only 2 hours of broken sleep to get them to school on time and also I pay £280 a month for him to go school 4 full days a week to try and bring him on in interaction and speach and language excetra he has been going their since April last year and they now no it’s all likely linked to ASD and we’re going down that pathway but the money would help out massively with all of the things he brakes and to pay towards transport to and from excetra Thankyou when was ur scan date? X

Hi lovely, my son is 3. On asd waiting list, has gdd diagnosis, non verbal, social and communication delay, no danger awareness, not keen on sleeping at night, erratic behaviour but not much violence. Sensory delay, vitamin d deficiency. I sent in speech and language report, physiotherapy report, paediatric dr report and a letter from his portage worker. He was recently awarded HRC.

Emma2345 · 08/02/2024 01:43

@Mrssnee16 Thankyou so much for your reply it’s made me feel abit better now and not as worried and anxious ,, do you think the evidence I have already sent in will be enough for them to make a decision? we have our first speech and language appointment the 19th of this month and I’m awaiting socialcommunication pathway exceptance when I get that extra evidence I will send it to them and hopefully we get a decision soon xx

This makes me feel a little better about my son's application! I did get school to write something but that's it! Can I be cheeky and ask.. did you do a big writeup at all? And a huge congratulations btw 💕 x

GirlMamasClub · 08/02/2024 06:10

@TamGirl89 i didn’t actually, I listed some key points, but kept it simple. I rang Monday this week to update on a diagnosis and meds, that’s when she said I’d been awarded x

Send any and all evidence once you receive just be on the safe side. I went into detail about how his different needs and issues affect him on a daily and nightly basis, even down to how it takes both myself and husband just to get him washed in the bath as his sensory delay is so bad with water. You can always request a MR if you don't get the award you feel DC deserves. Good luck xx

Lisa3kids · 08/02/2024 12:02

As some know last week my son was declined dla I’ve just received the reason why statement and doesn’t make much sense where I’ve said what he can’t do has come back that he can do I’m so confused did my DM not read my forms
properly? Has anybody else came across this

Emma2345 · 08/02/2024 12:24

@Lisa3kids hi hun yeah I’ve seen a lot of people have had this happen to them it happened to my friend not long ago contradicting what they’ve Put in the form and also saying they can do stuff which you have put that your child can’t ,, she did a MR and decision was overturned ,, before I sent my form I took pictures of every page I wrote on due to this so they couldn’t say I said he can do something excetra xx

Lisa3kids · 08/02/2024 12:34

I’m going to get help with my MR my son can’t bath/shower himself as he has very poor coordination due to dyspraxia but because he cleans his own teeth he’s fine with his own self care so the dm decided the whole form is laughable

Petal45 · 08/02/2024 19:13

Scan date 29/11 2 letters last being 2 weeks ago saying shouldn't take no longer than 15 weeks for a decision. We're see lol 😆 😂 🤣 good luck all on your claims

mkaislam · 08/02/2024 20:45

Parking. Scan date 01/12/23 X

ForMauveEagle · 09/02/2024 02:31

Hi everyone

Been reading through in the hope of finding someone with a decision that had a scan date around mine.

Sent off in October, never had letter or text to say received but called November and told scan date 18/10.

Send additional info early Jan (not checked with them when received). Had text 29/01 saying looking at it don't call.

Not sure whether to call or not. This is for a new claim for my son, have sent renewal for my daughter in Jan and that's been updated (text message but no letter).

Any advice?

Jneill2021 · 09/02/2024 09:30

@Jumping85 I had the letter come through they awarded him under vuw x

mkaislam · 09/02/2024 23:08

Can someone please advise me how much is a backdated payment for higher allowance of dla? Thanks in advance. X

Emma2345 · 11/02/2024 18:18

@mkaislam hi it would Depend on how long you’ve been waiting excetra the weekly rate for HRC is £101.75 per week so £407 monthly (4weekly) your payment would also depend on weather mobility was also awarded and it would depend on when you rang and when your next payment would be due for example if you rang on the 13th of June and was awarded 22nd august then your award would be the 13th of June to the 22nd of august which works out 10 weeks of back payment and you was intitled to just HRC then you would get £101.75 for 10 weeks so would be £1,017.50 back payment then £407 every 4 weeks their after hope this helps x

Mothertothreeboys · 11/02/2024 19:01
