@Jesslou37 ahh amazing news how long did it all take x

Emma2345 · 06/02/2024 12:20

@eatdrinkandbemerry i was thinking to appeal myself at the such short award as we was only awarded July last year from a claim in march and by the September I had the forms to fill in again I filled them in sent them off they said they received 9th October and on their System she said it says awarded HRC till march 2024 then under neath that awarded HRC till march 2025 so I’ve been awarded again for a year ,, I wonder if it’s because he is only 20 months old and it’s for breathing but he does have a potential diagnosis of severe asthma but due to age they won’t diagnose till after 2 just in the last 3 months alone he has needed 3 courses of steroids and he is on antibiotics 3 X a week coz he kept getting pneumonia he is on antihistamines 2 times a day and 4 different inhalers both day and throughout the night soon as he gets a cold he is straight in hospital requiring oxygen and he has a low immune system so needs constant boosters to protect against things as the injections they have as a baby up until 12 months his system doesn’t give him protection against the pneumococcal one so every few months they have to check his levels again and give him another booster and he has severe excema and allergies I think with all of that he should of been awarded a bit longer considering this has been going on since he was born so almost 2 years straight I may appeal the length of award xx

Jesslou37 · 06/02/2024 12:01

@Gracie1909 @Amycroft @Livd99 after yesterday's update that carers and disability element been accepted I asked on journal this morning about an update and they put a letter up to say both elements been backdated to September and the payment will be in my account within 4 working days x

Tasha911720 · 06/02/2024 12:51

Mine must be off sick haha, I wrote on yesterday afternoon after I spoke to dla and then I called uc to make sure I done the update correctly and I've heard nothing, yet an agent has updated my work plan yesterday??

jess12345678 · 06/02/2024 13:09

buddyboy14 · 06/02/2024 13:09

them now see what’s happening

jess12345678 · 06/02/2024 13:13

Hi all my son got awarded for 1 year, only till Marc or Feb next year, would you appeal or just leave as he isn’t diagnosed as of yet?? A mom needs help x

IvyGrace · 06/02/2024 13:24

Jumping85 · 06/02/2024 09:10

@jess12345678 As you are happy with the rates and have a copy of all the paperwork from the original form I wouldn’t do an MR. It will be much easier to print it off and send it when the renewal comes. Chances are you may have more evidence and get a longer award xx

@jess12345678 i agree with this

Jesslou37 · 06/02/2024 13:24

@Mrssnee16 I updated them on the 26th January and it went to a dm that day so taken under 2 weeks to sort out x
