Kellyfoo12345 · 23/01/2024 20:23

Just parking a few October dates have been awarded on the fb group from what I saw today a 12week turn around on one claim seems they are moving faster

Mamof31 · 23/01/2024 20:29

@Jonesy0102 just about his therapy with camhs and about his education as I’ve taken him out of school to home school him due to his anxiety

Liddyj · 23/01/2024 21:27

Hi jess, my scan date is near yours I'm 25/10.
My ds is 3 diagnosed gdd, on waitingnlist for asd assessment and he is non verbal, continuous stims and tics, has pika and seriously messed up sleeping pattern s. He's not in school so I didn't have any evidence there, but have from portage, paediatric dr, salt, physio and his previous paediatric consultant. And I'm still worried he won't get awarded. Good luck with your claim 😊

Mummytoviboys · 23/01/2024 23:37

Does anyone know how long it takes for letters to arrive?
my LO was declined last Wednesday and I’m waiting for the reasons so I can do a MR!
They informed me a letter was sent out last week 🤷🏼‍♀️

Debs243 · 24/01/2024 01:30

Same scan date as me

I find it weird that no one on here ever gets a super fast approval but fb does.

Naylor19 · 24/01/2024 06:52

Hey everyone I’ve been following this thread for a while now, scan date 13/10 had two letters and a text so far. Hoping it won’t be too much longer, also dreading if my little girl gets rejected and we have to appeal! I’ve sent in peads report, salt, home portage, childminder evidence and drs letters. The waiting now we’re getting closer feels even more unbearable! Hope we all hear soon!

I’m on this but they hardly ever accept posts and don’t allow anything on scan dates. These threads are loads better

Yup. Facebook groups often attract fantasists, unfortunately.

Hayz0711 · 24/01/2024 08:04

Sent numerous drs letters(son has many medical conditions & is under several teams) OT report,SALT report, paediatrician report, statement of educational need. He’s been in receipt of DLA for 12 years (he has Down Syndrome) but sent COC in October because his needs have increased. Awaiting an ASD assessment too. Good luck all x

Tiredmumofmadam1 · 24/01/2024 08:15

Morning all! I’m getting so anxious about my little lady being declined. It hadn’t really crossed my mind until now.
She needs additional support so it’s a no brainer.

Have people with diagnosed ASD been declined? I know ASD is broad, but just looking for a general idea.

Tried calling yesterday but had to give up after an hour due to school run. I just need an update on where she is in the pile. The complete unknown makes the wait worse.

Geegee1506 · 24/01/2024 08:18

@tiredmum1989 oh isn't that strange you'd think they'd make the decision at the same time.. you heard quite quick I put it on my journal Friday afternoon n someone replied to say it's been passed to a DM but not heard anything since xx

Evesmum12 · 24/01/2024 09:29

My scanned date is 1st September, been with a decision maker for 16 days. I’ve rung this morning and they said it’s gone up to medical evidence department yesterday. Does anyone know what that means?

FlutterByASD · 24/01/2024 09:42

I'm on hold now, 15 minutes so far.

@Tiredmumofmadam1 I believe you can be refused even with a confirmed diagnosis because the award for DLA is needs based and not diagnosis based. I was advised having an EHCP would be more beneficial than a diagnosis letter 🤷‍♀️

Tiredmumofmadam1 · 24/01/2024 10:02

FlutterByASD · 24/01/2024 10:03
