Sarahdenisty I just seen on Facebook someone got rewarded today new claim 16 weeks so surely it should be before march you should find out? Maybe they’re saying march as worse case scenario

Sarahdestiny · 26/01/2024 14:32

@Lolly966 I hope so tbh I don't think the man was interested in speaking just wanted me off the phone x

Amytate · 26/01/2024 14:36

scan date 13/10
i got told last Wednesday it was with decision maker then again Tuesday I was told the same rang today to be told it’s in holding queue so someone clearly can’t do there job! Twice I was told it was with decision maker! The wait is absolutely ridiculous

Lolly966 · 26/01/2024 14:38

Sarahdestiny I wish it was digital it would make it so much easier! The waiting is driving me mad x

This must have been the man I got on the phone yesterday 🤣

Sarahdestiny · 26/01/2024 14:48

@Thenoseymother he was a right muppet lol rude to x

Lolly966 · 26/01/2024 14:49

Just seen someone else on fb that’s been rewarded new claim their scan date was 6th oct, I thought they were still doing September dates?

COWPRINTQUEEN · 26/01/2024 14:58

24/09 last spoke to them on 17th Jan and told in a holding queue... beginning to feel like my lad will be declined... I've already fought for 7 years for him to get help and he's finally getting help and this is just another battle. Sent his paed report and a few iep from school aswell as letter from senco explaining his difficulties. We have to pay our gp for his old reports so didn't do this but will if we have to do MR. Sorry for ranting about it all.

Congratulations to anyone awarded recently and good luck all waiting to hear

Sarahdestiny · 26/01/2024 15:11

@Lolly966 it's madness how random the decision dates are and also unfair on people from scan dates of August/September still waiting they really need to sort out the way they do it x what's your scan date x

Lolly966 · 26/01/2024 15:38

Sarahdestiny yeah that’s what I think too how unfair it is that people from august/September are still waiting and people from October are being rewarded and 20/11 so I’ve got a looong wait ahead of me yet haha! X

Hayz0711 · 26/01/2024 15:46

It’s ridiculous & bloody unfair. We are all desperate to our decisions, but the fairest way is to deal with them in the order they’re received. Maybe we should all put in complaints, see if that’s hurries them up a bit!😂 x

Carlz90 · 26/01/2024 16:24

Scan date 23/9 I got the text to day we've been awarded I phoned straight away and found out we got MR care and LR mobility which I'm happy with! Good luck to everybody else waiting I hope your babies get what they deserve x

Amycroft · 26/01/2024 16:25

Do they work Monday to Friday or Saturdays too?

WhereDidTheTimeGo888 · 26/01/2024 16:45

@Amytate I’m the day before you 12/10. Are you going to ring back to see if they say anything different again? It’s crazy how they all say different things. I thought we’d be waiting a lot longer for October dates. I’ve sent (special delivery) 2 lots of extra evidence and really want to know if they’ve scanned them on, but I also really don’t want to call them.

Ashh1998 · 26/01/2024 17:04

@Amycroft I believe they work through the weekend. I'm pretty sure that's what the guy on the phone said when I called them on Wednesday. 😁

RainsbowandBunnies · 26/01/2024 17:45

Rang about 3.30 got through in an hour. Spoke to the loveliest guy ever. He said waiting to be assigned to decision maker and this will be done by mid Feb and it's taking 18 weeks currently. We know this isn't really accurate but bless his heart lol x

Congratulations! I'm a few days behind you so I'm hoping we hear soon.

I refuse to believe FB. No one one here in all the threads I've watched as ever had a decision months ahead of others.

GoldenTango · 26/01/2024 18:31

How long does it actually take with the DM? I know they tell you 2 weeks . But has anyone been awarded sooner than that after it went to DM?

Franny01 · 26/01/2024 18:50

Hey,thought I’d let everyone know dla got forms 26/09 called today and was told yesterday it went to overtime workers who come in on the weekend said he can’t say for sure it will get looked at but most likely will and should call up next week for an update as takes 7-10 days for them to inform. Seen people on Facebook been awarded that’s after my date xx

Lolly966 · 26/01/2024 19:15

AndrewsGardfeildLaptop yeah that’s what confuses me is that I’ve been watching these threads since I sent my forms off and never once seen anyone get it as quick on here but on the actual DLA Facebook pages there’s people on there who say they have.

Lottiexx3 · 26/01/2024 19:41

@COWPRINTQUEEN I am a practice nurse and I can assure you you do not need to pay for them old reports. They should do it for free, if they are refusing to print them for you ask for online access and you can print them yourself. Hope that helps lovely x

Lottiexx3 · 26/01/2024 19:42

@AndrewGarfieldsLaptop have you not heard yet? We have the same scan date and my backpay went in yesterday so surely you’re due anytime now x

I agree.

I've read every post on these threads since last April (took me till July to find the strength to apply, and then the bloody form didn't turn up, so had to ring back in August)

I wanted to chip in on this one, just to give you some hope. We were awarded at 18 weeks 3 days I think it was so your acctually looking at decision next week. Don't lose hope. We sent around the same evidence as you maybe even abit less and he got it. There will be the odd one awarded early maybe because its with a faster dm.
