@Amycroft where the same scan date i was in 2 minds to ring and see if its with a dm and update something but think ill hold off til friday and hopefully have a little bit more of and idea how far we are 🤦‍♀️

Naylor19 · 24/01/2024 12:09

@mamaneedswine that's amazing, and I imagine a massive relief! ☺️

Amycroft · 24/01/2024 12:10

@Twinnies010920 well everyone is saying September is being done pretty quickly so could be given to a DM any day I guess! I will ring again Monday maybe

Kelper92 · 24/01/2024 12:11

Parking again, sent paper work off on 14/9, not been able to get hold of them once. Text 28/11 and 03/1. Had a letter in-between too. Now at 19 weeks 😩 x

LMummy38 · 24/01/2024 12:39

If you ring for an update before the 20 weeks do they refuse to give you one or be funny with you? I'm a bit of a wimp but 18 weeks Friday so was going to ring Friday morning

FlutterByASD · 24/01/2024 12:44

@LMummy38 I think it depends on which call handler you get tbh. I was ringing to change details but the gentleman I spoke with said while you're on the phone I'll just give you an update before I even managed to ask. He did also tell me the expected turn around is about 18 weeks now as most CM's and DM's are making really good progress with claims. I would maybe hold off until Friday and ring at bang on 9am.

Thankyou. I'll be brave Friday morning and hope for a nice one lol.

Do we include Christmas week when counting weeks from scan date?

Do we include Christmas week when counting weeks from scan date?

When I called Monday they advised i was only 6 weeks (my count is 7) so I am guessing they are not including xmas

I'd say they are including Christmas, but I've followed this thread since last summer and lots of people seem to be a week less than DWPs 'official' weekly count.

I've given up trying to understand. One week after scan date is week 1, then on from there is how I do it. I don't know if others count from day 1 as week 1 (which cant be right)

I have no idea, I called for MR on the 4th December, so 1st week would be 11th meaning I am now 7 weeks? They insisted I was 6, they also said the same to @Jneill2021

@27Rosie16 I've seen a few people say they have had a week deducted due to Christmas but when I spoke to them this morning I was told I was 17 weeks so no deduction.

its all madness they all say different things! One thing we can all agree on is this is taking FOREVER !!

FlutterByASD · 24/01/2024 13:10

@Keddie 100% The wait times are ridiculous. I wish they were all able to at least give everyone consistent information.

It would have been 6 weeks on Monday. They wouldn't count isn't as 7 weeks until Monday 29 Jan. That's how I understand it, anyway.

Either way, as PP says it's way too long and has us all at our wits end.

Solidarity to all of us.

buddyboy14 · 24/01/2024 13:14

scan date 12/10 following x

mamaneedswine · 24/01/2024 13:15

Hi,
So I phoned to find out rates, the man I spoke to was lovely and read out the award letter to me.
DS has been awarded HRC & LRM.

I am over the moon. Really hope the wait is not much longer for you all x

FlutterByASD · 24/01/2024 13:17

@mamaneedswine That's fantastic! Now you can relax FINALLY after such a long and anxious wait. Big glass of wine for you to celebrate tonight mama hahaha

Ignore me. My bad. I've been skipping new years day.

It's got my head fried

ItsRalf · 24/01/2024 13:21

It's driving me insane. I genuinely only need the fact my daughter gets DLA. That alone helps us so much in regard to accessing support.

I'm 5/10. I'll be ringing about a change after work. I'll update you all on what they tell me. This will be first call I've made to them!

Mothertothreeboys · 24/01/2024 13:21

Aw brilliant thankyou fingers crossed 🤞

Liddyj · 24/01/2024 13:23

I am in shock I rang yesterday was told was sent to DM on Monday rang now because Iv not had any text or anything to be told we have been awarded HRC LRM I cried on the phone but just to everyone I thought I’d get a award text and I didn’t so just because you don’t get a text doesn’t mean it’s a decline my scan date is 19/9 x

Naylor19 · 24/01/2024 13:26

@buddyboy14 your a day ahead of me 13/10 I rang today and seem to think we’ll get a decision by 18 weeks 🙏

Mothertothreeboys · 24/01/2024 13:29

How many weeks are you on but confused with Christmas lol x
