@Livjacmase they just work on ticking boxes. They're must be incentives behind the scenes regarding sanctions etc though.

126t · 28/12/2023 11:44

Scan date 21/09/23

Whereismycat · 28/12/2023 11:48

Hello all, I only sent the form off earlier in the month (post not scan) but I’ve just realised I haven’t heard anything. I’m sure Christmas will delay things. Does anyone remember how long after submitting the form that they received a text/ letter?

Linacre96 · 28/12/2023 12:01

Scan date 1/09
was on hold for 1 hour 45 minutes been told it’s in a holding que and should go to a dm at anytime now

2010crazyboymum · 28/12/2023 12:13

@Linacre96. I'm 1hr 5 minutes so far

mumoftwoxxx · 28/12/2023 12:16

Mine was in a holding que on 12/12 and again still when I called on 19/12, really hoping it's being looked at soon, 18wks today, surely a few days over the Xmas period won't change much r.e backlog. The fact some get award texts and others haven't is a frustrating thought as well, but I'm avoiding calling again to be told wait until the middle of January..😅 I feel all we do is wait and fight ahhh... My son was supposed to have a school observation in December to do with his ASD assessment while we wait for the ADOS in 2024.. Haven't heard a thing so im guessing these are also delayed further!!

@2010crazyboymum I get to 'all our agents are busy' then the lines go dead 😂

EarlofShrewsbury · 28/12/2023 12:23

I was told that 2 weeks ago! 🙈
Told the exact same thing this morning. It'll go to the cm any day now apparently!
Scan date 18/8

2010crazyboymum · 28/12/2023 12:29

@RaychieBee I fully expected it to cut off then. I wouldn't mind but you can't even skip the whole beginning speech 🤣

Linacre96 · 28/12/2023 12:34

I think they will work threw some this weekend then back at work 2nd January, just basically waiting for luck

RaychieBee · 28/12/2023 12:36

@2010crazyboymum oh I know. It takes like 3/4mins to actually get through all the crap 😂
Just don't understand how September dates are getting decisions but August dates still haven't reached a desk. It's ridiculous. It says upto 20weeks for a decision. I'm nearly at 19weeks.
Was told 2 weeks ago mine was going on a desk that week and still nothing. I've called 7times now and just cuts off. I'll try again at 9am. Just need to know if I need to start doing an MR 🙄

Luevzamum · 28/12/2023 12:38

@danni0509 this sounds exactly like my son. Severe behavioural difficulties hasn’t been schoool for 3 years so he’s having home tutoring for 2 hours per week. Won’t leave the house I’m still toileting him severe anger issues and many other stuff that would just take to long to put on here, but just to let you know, I did a COC scan date 9th June. He was already on HRC LRM. Got a decline in 20th November, did MR on 23 rd nov, sent in 2 pieces of extra evidence one from his social worker who works the the children’s with disabilities team and one from an OT who has just approved a wet room to be fitted for my son, because of his SMI, they received this on 7th December then had a payment in my bank on 21st dec with extra dla and received a letter 4 days after this sayin having looked again at the decision and they had decided he does qualify for HRM due to his SMI . So I really think you should do the coc because your situation sound very similar to mine xx

2010crazyboymum · 28/12/2023 12:45

@RaychieBee if these dla people try to get through to my sons neuro team I'll be waiting a while. His secretary's phone doesn't even ring anymore and just says "this mail box is full" I have to ring each seperate dept to speak to anybody! The last hospital appointment letter got bizarrely sent to INDIA! Arrived a month letter covered in weird stamps lol. The school he's hardly bleeding in due to him either having falls, throwing up or can't actually walk. ##rant!!!
Everything is a uphill battle.

KeepGoingThomas · 28/12/2023 13:00

@Luevzamum separate to DLA, the LA has a duty to provide a suitable full-time education, 2hrs a week is not that. Email the Director of Children’s Services requesting provision under s19 of the Education Act 1996. If DS has an EHCP, you should also request an early review. If DS doesn’t have an EHCP, you should request an EHCNA.

danni0509 · 28/12/2023 13:01

@Luevzamum thanks xxx

@KeepGoingThomas thanks for advice xx

2010crazyboymum · 28/12/2023 13:14

Judging my Facebook comments... phone calls aren't even answered in order let alone claims.

RaychieBee · 28/12/2023 13:18

After ringing 11times I am now on hold 🤞 hopefully doesn't kick me off.
I'll be on hold for 2hours to be told that it's still in a holding queue 100% 😂
Why it's not an online system I do not know 🙄

RaychieBee · 28/12/2023 13:21

@2010crazyboymum thats ridiculous! INDIA 😂
the waiting lists round here are crazy. 1yr for a physio appointment, 2yrs for autism or adhd referrals, 18months speech and language. All I've got is refferals! Then they kept changing the age. They have to be 3 for a refferal, they have to be 5,they have to be 8. I ended up paying £150 a month for 2 hours a week nursery because there's nothing in the area. No soft play, no groups ect as they all shut down or stopped because of covid.

Kellyfoo12345 · 28/12/2023 13:22

Mines 30th ....long wait I think x

Mumof6boys1girl · 28/12/2023 13:24

2010crazyboymum · 28/12/2023 13:25

@RaychieBee. I'm currently 2h 16m

RaychieBee · 28/12/2023 13:26

I'm 19weeks on Monday and what? 2hrs! That's crazy 🤯

doingmybest23 · 28/12/2023 13:27

Currently on phone to them, only just started phoning so I’ll be waiting till tea time

2010crazyboymum · 28/12/2023 13:31
