I’ve just checked my text messages off the DWP and I got a text message a month after sending my forms, I got the text before I got the letter but they don’t always send texts x

Kezzia87 · 09/01/2024 07:34

@HalleLouja i never record a text to say my forms were scanned in.. In fact I’ve not had any correspondence from dla whatsoever.. if I were you I would ring up to double check and also to get your scan date so you know where you are wait wise as this is the date they go off when they say 18 weeks or whatever wait they are telling people that day

HalleLouja · 09/01/2024 07:34

I did send it special delivery but my husband lost the proof…. I probably need to phone them then. Luckily mine is all typed up, so its just a matter of printing it out and re-sending. I am thinking there might have been a delay due to Christmas.

Ash894 · 09/01/2024 07:43

I was awarded on Saturday and can see a pending payment from DLA to be paid tomorrow x

Linacre96 · 09/01/2024 08:48

Going to need a new thread soon

Persistent · 09/01/2024 09:15

@HalleLouja I sent my forms off on the 21st and received a letter a few weeks after with a scan date of the 27th November. Defiantly would call them to make sure they have this

Mummytoviboys · 09/01/2024 09:19

I’ve just got off the phone to them!
she said new claims are taking 18weeks!
i don’t know if she’s just saying that as I’m 18weeks Friday!
no decision on mine yet, she didn’t mention if it was with a cm/dm and my mind went blank and forgot to ask 🤦🏼‍♀️

Linacre96 · 09/01/2024 09:30

@Mummytoviboys I got told the same yesterday taking 18 weeks but I’m 19 weeks Friday 🤷‍♀️ it wasn’t even with a DM

funinthesun19 · 09/01/2024 09:31

Ok so I’ve just rang them regarding mobility.

Turns out the lady I spoke to yesterday was mistaken, and that the DM did in fact consider mobility it for my DD from age 5 but she just hasn’t been awarded. The lady I’ve just spoken to said a written statement of reasons will be sent out to me and I can respond to these reasons in my mandatory reconsideration.

I have a feeling she was declined will be because in her paediatrician’s report I sent, the paediatrician mentioned nothing about the issues my DD has around safety when out and about and how distressed she becomes. I told her paediatrician at the time that I’d like that information included in the report and she said it’s not necessary as they will ring her if they require any information. This is what I get for not being pushy enough. My DD deserves better than that.
If I was to request a statement from the paediatrician regarding DD’s mobility needs, would this new information be accepted in the mandatory reconsideration?

If I do a MR for the mobility side of things, will it have an impact on the care she has been awarded? My worry is that the new DM will look at the care and change it to no award/low rate. I only want them to look at the mobility side of things.

mumtumok · 09/01/2024 09:44

I rang this morning only took 17 minutes to get through. I spoke to a lovely lady that’s put I note on my claim to ask no decision to be made until my extra evidence has been scanned & added. She also said to call in 2-3 weeks time for an update . scan date 28/09

Paige36 · 09/01/2024 09:47

@funinthesun19 so strange how it works, I had no evidence of my daughters mobility needs-just what I wrote on the form which is she drops and lays on the floor and refuses to move when overwhelmed and no safety/special awareness. If you do an MR they do look at the whole award and it can go to lower/higher or no award at all, even if it’s just for mobility but it gets sent to a different dm for a second opinion I believe. Also any extra evidence will be considered so if you can get it that would help. Good luck with what you decide to do🤞🏻

Ilovemychildren123 · 09/01/2024 09:47

funinthesun19 · 09/01/2024 10:04

Edited

@Paige36 I think I might leave the MR if they look the whole award. I’m worried she will have her care award taken from her.

I put all the same reasons in her application as you did for your daughter. She has all of those same problems 🙁.

Keddie · 09/01/2024 10:06

@Jneill2021 @Luevzamum @Ilovemychildren123 not sure if you saw my comment under the MR post yesterday. They called me back to advise evidence had still not been found. An investigation was launched on the 18th of December and they have a strict 3 week window to run all of there checks. This means the investigation ends this week and I should get looked at. I am hoping to hear something this week. xx

Ilovemychildren123 · 09/01/2024 10:07

@Keddie fingers crossed for you hope you get the best outcome x

Jneill2021 · 09/01/2024 10:08

@Keddie fingers crossed for you I don't no how they can lose evidence there so strict with things with claims but ok for them to mess up, really hope you get a good outcome for your little one xx
