Got my son's updated IEP through is it worths sending in if I'm at 19 weeks or waiting incase it's a decline and using as evidence?

Lougle · 08/01/2024 13:56

@Tylerjade89 I would send it in. I've just sent a batch of additional evidence in for my DD. I always send it special delivery.

Mummytoviboys · 08/01/2024 14:02

I’ve had 3 texts and 2 letters, does this mean anything?
last txt was 3 weeks ago, I got a bit excited thinking it was ‘the’ txt!

Sarahdestiny · 08/01/2024 14:06

Finally got through
Scan date 4/10 new claim said I won't hear until end Feb beginning march

Renewal said is in holding que or something and will be looked at probably 2 weeks before it's end date so looking middle of febuary so gonna send some more info in.

And sent more information in November for new claim and said they haven't got it even though sent it recorded delivery said ring back in 1 week to chase it up again

Helenmummyof3 · 08/01/2024 14:07

@Loup19863 thank you lovely x

Loup19863 · 08/01/2024 14:14

@Helenmummyof3 you’re welcome, let us know when you hear anything 🤞🏻 I’m 18 weeks today not expecting to hear anything soon though by the looks of it x

Helenmummyof3 · 08/01/2024 14:16

@Loup19863 I will lovely, 🤞 crossed for you x

Loup19863 · 08/01/2024 14:17

@Mummytoviboys how many weeks are you at? I personally don’t think the txts mean anything but some people do. I’ve had one letter and 3 texts, last text 11th December, I’m 18wks today. I did a claim earlier in the year for my other child, didn’t get any texts at all apart from to say he’d been awarded, I think they just send them randomly to stop people calling but that’s just my opinion x

Amycroft · 08/01/2024 14:23

I've got the exact same scan date and text dates as you! Fingers crossed we hear soon! I'm reluctant to call really but hoping we hear soon

Babzie · 08/01/2024 14:28

Tmpoftwo · 08/01/2024 13:24

@Babzie I'm the same date as you just received the letter which doesn't say what rates but when I phoned last Friday she said it should be paid tomorrow.

Yes my letter is exactly the same doesn't say any information just his name and stating he is getting dla and what it should be used for etc, hopefully we see payment tomorrow and can work out what we have been awarded x

Jmam · 08/01/2024 14:34

@Helenmummyof3 thankyou for update same scan date as you 🤞 for both of us hopefully we won't be waiting much longer 🤞

Siobhangrace · 08/01/2024 14:37

Same date has me 27/9 I have received second text today

Mummytoviboys · 08/01/2024 14:37

@Loup19863 i will be 18wks Friday! Not far behind you! It’s all very confusing, I rang last week and they said it’s taking 17 weeks 🤷🏼‍♀️ I’m hoping we’ll hear in the next couple of weeks 🤞 x

Kirst31 · 08/01/2024 14:39

My scan date is 11/08 i still haven't received anything. I had to call to check they even received paperwork as they didn’t send me a received letter. Heard nothing since. I called back in nov time and they told me i could be waiting up until feb time to hear! Im trying to call now as i’m on week 21 now 🙃

Kirst31 · 08/01/2024 14:42

Me too! 11/08 and nothing yet :(

Helenmummyof3 · 08/01/2024 14:43

@Jmam 🤞for you lovely I’ll post on here as soon as I hear anything x

Jmam · 08/01/2024 15:00

I've just recieved a text saying my child qualifies for dla. Now on the phone to see what rates. @Helenmummyof3 thought I'd let you know 🤞 you get your decision quickly as we are the same scan date 31/8

Helenmummyof3 · 08/01/2024 15:29

@Jmam oh that’s amazing, I’m so pleased for you xx

Congratulations! It’s such a relief isn’t it. I found out today my DD has been awarded too (23/08)😊

Kirst31 · 08/01/2024 15:34

I just called, my decision was made on the 6th- mine for was coc (adding mobility) and she told me the current wait is 22-24 weeks for change of circumstance for anyone needing to know. :(
my daughter was awarded lrm but i still haven't received letter payment or text so if anyone isnt sure call up or wait as she said payments will take 3-5 days from decision day x

Jmam · 08/01/2024 15:46

@funinthesun19 definitely a relief. Just the long phone call to see what he got awarded, because I don't want to wait for the letter, I haven't had any post since before Christmas.
Good to hear about your daughter. Hope everyone gets what their child is entitled to x

Loup19863 · 08/01/2024 15:47

@Mummytoviboys hopefully not much longer for us now 🤞🏻 I’m not even going to bother ringing as I remember the stress of it all last time getting told different things when I called, either way in the next week or 2 we will have our decisions x

Mum2threeplus2bonuskids · 08/01/2024 15:57

Congratulations 🥂
what was your scan date lovely?

Agathapeterborough · 08/01/2024 16:03

Hi this is my first post here.
Hello everyone 😀
My scan date 22/8
Finally after 19weeks+6 days received a letter saying my son been awarded DLA.
over that period I was super anxious, but finally big relief. Good luck for everyone.

My son is 6 years old not formal diagnosis yet but on path for asd/adhd.

My advice while you filling your forms put as many information as possible while answering questions not leave blank even if all your paperwork can proof it.

Good luck

Kezzia87 · 08/01/2024 16:09

@Kirst31 my scan date is 11/08 too and I’ve never had a letter or a text! The wait is horrendous isn’t it? It’s 22 weeks on Friday now so I’m ringing them every day lol no news yet though but I plan on pestering them from here in
