Continuing on from part 23 as it was getting full

That’s insane! I thought backdated payments went in before award letters arrived????😳😳 is that not happening now? It’s sounds like a proper shit show at the DWP at the minute.🤦‍♀️

I put a msg on my journal and a case manager called me and has processed the payment should be in my bank by Thursday... I feel like best way to get these people moving is to ring them xx

Also had 2 letters before the 21 of the 11

Anyone had the same date or similar been 20 weeks as of tomorrow

You’re past the 20weeks if your scan date was 13/9. Have you rung them?
i had 3 texts and 1 letter.
Im starting to get a bad feeling. Think my daughters has been put in a rejection pile!!😩

No haven't rang them, and yeah I'm starting to worry about that too

@9babiesmummynutjob I rang today and it’s in a que to go to the DM I got to ring back 8/9th February if not heard anything

OMG! It’s just ridiculous!
Did the holiday period add a delay to our “20week” countdown then?
I was told (by a very rude lady) my daughters was in a pile to allocated to a DM and to not bother ringing again! I’m to just wait for a text!😡😡🤦‍♀️

@9babiesmummynutjob thats what they told me today that mine is in a pile to go to the DM but seems like everyone else is being awarded with dates after the 27th

Do you mind me asking, what’s your child’s claim situation?
Mine is 14 (now nearly 15yr) with ASD. She masks well at school but not so well at home and out of school. I submitted a report from the Senco at school and a consultant both stating she is Autistic in their opinion. She’s on the waiting list for an ADOS and SALT assessment.
I just wish they would stick to the timelines! If we didn’t there would most certainly be consequences!😡😡

Just rung them. Literally must have been the first call. It was answered straightaway. Got through to a lovely lady. She told me my daughter was awarded yesterday! I was told Monday it was going to be a while!🤦‍♀️ that’s how quickly it changes. Don’t give up ladies!💪 keep nagging until you get an answer. Good luck to you all!

@jellycat12 OMG! I’m so sorry! Did they say why? Make sure you do a MR.

Nope just said the letter will outline it all very confused as I even sent my sons diagnosis letter with the origin forms

@jellycat12 it really doesn’t make sense. I swear they don’t read it properly!
Make sure you do an MR. You’ve nothing to lose.🤷‍♀️ Could you go back to your sons consultant and ask for a more detailed report?

It dosent just had another look through the form ( photocopy) of what I sent of end of august and I could have put more information but so unsure on weather to appeal of just redo form and add more information just gutted and they said letter was sent 10 days ago and haven't had it so unsure on it all

@jellycat12 Id do an MR. Just gather more evidence . Whichever you do you’re looking at the same wait time. If the MR is declined, appeal it. At least when it does get awarded they have to pay it from the start of the original claim. There are websites online that can help with filling in claim forms and MR forms.
I really do know what you’re feeling right now I was refused last year. It’s gutting, you feel like you did something wrong. Well….. you didn’t!! The system is seriously F’d up!! Just keep fighting!

Can I ask what your son’s diagnosis is?

@9babiesmummynutjob Thankyou so much and yes definitely feeling I did something wrong 😔 and it's just the wait for the rejection again and of course he's got ADHD Autism PDA and upper body hyper mobility😔 and currently going through puberty so it's definitely hitting hard at the home at the moment.

@jellycat12 Definitely do an MR!! Your son should 100% get DLA! I have 3 boys with ASD and ADHD, ones also going through puberty and it’s not fun.
Talk to his consultant his teachers/Senco ask the GP for a report too. As long as it doesn’t contradict with what you put in the claim form and it supports it, there is no logical reason why the claim was refused.

You need that letter to see exactly why he didn’t qualify. Then you can tackle it. But don’t give up. Fight it out.

@9babiesmummynutjob Thankyou it is extremely difficult and have arranged a meeting with senco and spoken to doctors so hopefully once the letter arrives we can get it sorted just gutted we will have to wait so long again 😞

@jellycat12 it TOTALLY sucks! But you’re doing the right thing. 🤞🤞 the backlog eases and you don’t have to wait as long this time.
