@Let24beabetteryear do you know when it went to a cm?

Let24beabetteryear · 21/12/2023 16:11

I haven't got a clue when it went I rang Monday to see if they had received my extra evidence sent in and it wasn't with anyone or waiting to as far as the man said he said I'm looking at middle of January so completely shocked

ZaiZai · 21/12/2023 16:18

WHAT!!! I was told 20 weeks!

They are clearly making this up

ZaiZai · 21/12/2023 16:28

It's a joke! She first said 20 weeks then when I pushed for a more specific date as we need DLA to help with getting our child into a specialist nursery she said realistically to expect a decision by beginning of March as there are huge delays.

I can't believe they are allowing waits of up to 6 months. It's ridiculous. Our children need support yet cannot access certain types of support without being in receipt of DLA.

Have decided to do a MR. Daughter who is 3 and a half was awarded MRC, she definitely qualifies for HRC.

Did anyone know how long MR is currently taking?

Thankyou 😊

Keddie · 21/12/2023 17:02

@TiredFairy at least 8 weeks

Mummyj823 · 21/12/2023 18:59

Hi all. If you choose to do a MR what happens if you have already received the backdated payment? Silly question probably but my friend asked me and I have no clue. Was hoping someone on here could help? She wants to do a MR but is worried because she got the backdated pay.

My scan date is 31/8. Hoping to hear in January. Hope everyone gets what their child is entitled to.

Us lot who’s in the September claims might aswell wait till mid January to ring up cause of Christmas and new year, they probably still be finishing off August at start of January

Siobhangrace · 21/12/2023 21:39

Siobhangrace · 21/12/2023 21:42

Yes that’s my plan. I sent extra evidence in November so I’m going to call in January just to make sure they’ve scanned it in x

brokenbitbybit · 22/12/2023 00:53

How long have people waited from hearing they've been awarded, to receiving payment?

Text said on Wednesday it's been awarded, but no sign yet

Mummytofivelittles · 22/12/2023 04:44

@brokenbitbybit we were awarded Tuesday and payment went in today xx

Kezildon · 22/12/2023 07:24

BizzleMummy · 22/12/2023 08:23

So happy for you, hopefully you can enjoy Christmas with your child now there’s no more stress of waiting 😫

Momtothreeboys · 22/12/2023 08:41

Good luck everyone and hope u all have a lovely Christmas x

2010crazyboymum · 22/12/2023 09:11

It's crazy the distance of dates verified at the same time! Some from the 8/8 right down to 4/9 .. no rhyme or rhythm.

Laurahansom28 · 22/12/2023 09:12

Oh that's really interesting to know. Thanks for that. I'm 6/9 wonder if I'll hear something soon. Can I ask where in the country you are. X

Calypsomum · 22/12/2023 09:43

Getting so frustrated with being told different things every time I call. Was told on Monday that it was likely going to a DM that afternoon, been told today it won't go to a DM until mid Jan. I don't understand how they can be giving out such different information 😔 So desperate to know if my daughter can continue with her therapist or not. If we don't find out soon we will lose her and will be devastated 😔😔
Scan date 18/8

2010crazyboymum · 22/12/2023 09:51

@Calypsomum it's crazy. Nobody knows! Nobody has accurate etas. Nobody Seems to have the same estimates. They're all singing off different song sheets..
No doubt they are briefed to give ridiculous far reaching estimates to stop people chasing. No doubt they have people ringing from about day 2 daily wanting updates. Genuine callers like yourself get brushed aside because these call handlers have probably had enough of an earful to last them a lifetime.

I'm 21/08. I've given up calling (called twice w15 and w16) but both times I didn't have great call handlers and the stress is ridiculous
I want to know If I can afford private physio for my son (like yourself its needed)

It's so incredibly frustrating isn't it. I haven't called up until this week and am calling for genuine reasons of concern.

We started with my daughters therapist in September as we were desperate to help her after a 2 year delay on her diagnosis. The difference it's making is immeasurable, but we've now used up the only tiny bit of savings we had and can't afford to continue in January. I'm so worried she won't be able to continue with her therapist, but just want to know one way or another.

Plan B is selling our house, but hoping it won't come to that 🙏 You do what you have to though don't you.

I hope you hear soon. Let me know if you do!!
