Posting to follow -long wait ahead still for my LO.
Scan date 24.10

Good luck all those round 18-20 week wait hope your LO’s get what they deserve soon 😊

BizzleMummy · 12/12/2023 18:49

Congratulations, it’s such a stress. I was originally told 15 weeks and then when I rang up about 5 weeks ago they said it was taking 19 weeks to process and make a decision. My forms were received 29/8 and have had all three texts, was hoping for a decision before Christmas but not looking likely.

Toad90 · 12/12/2023 19:12

I called today for an update, was advised decision was made yesterday and we have only been awarded MRC I feel a little bit deflated as I feel my son is entitled more than that, I sent so much evidence, we have recently been given the autism diagnosis which I phoned and told them about, will send the evidence as soon as I receive it myself, but will that even make any difference now? Don’t know what to do 😔

Mariannec · 12/12/2023 19:18

@Toad90 you can do a MR and highlight all areas within your evidence that you believe falls under HRC. You can also tell them you will have additional evidence to send when you receive it and again, highlight all pieces of information within that that you believe falls under HRC x

Toad90 · 12/12/2023 19:22

@Mariannec thanks for your reply, sorry I sound silly but what is MR and how do I do that?

Hollywollyxxx · 12/12/2023 19:35

Hi, jumping back on the thread. I was awarded HRC but no mobility. Does anyone know how I inform universal credit of this? What option on report a change becuase I’m confused! Thanks

Loumumoftwo · 12/12/2023 19:44

@Hollywollyxxx for the disabled element you click report a change - children and people who live with me - put in the date the dla was awarded from and complete the rest of the questions.

For carers elements you go to report a change again - caring for someone - again use the date dla was awarded from and complete the rest of questions.

Then put a note on your journal under the payment section to say that your child has been awarded DLA HRC and could you have the disabled element and carers element backdated to such and such a date.

Hope this makes sense x

Mariannec · 12/12/2023 19:45

@Toad90 it’s ok, it’s a mandatory reconsideration. You do one of these if you do not agree with a desicion. You need to clearly state why you think their desicion is wrong. They will re look at the claim and take into consideration your reasoning. Be warned that this could also mean the award is lowered. X

Hollywollyxxx · 12/12/2023 20:07

Thank you for this! I don’t think ill
get carers allowance as I work full time cxxx

Luevzamum · 12/12/2023 20:14

@Jneill2021 hey I sent in some more information one letter from OT and one from my child’s social worker from the children’s with disabilities team and a few lines saying I believe my son meets the criteria of HRM due to the fact that he ticks all the boxes on the SMI flow chart. Not heard anything yet. I sent it by recorded delivery on the 7th dec. I’ve not rang to see if they have got it. I only sent im 2 reports though I feel like I’ve nit sent enough now 😵‍💫 when did you send in your extra evidence xx

Toad90 · 12/12/2023 20:29

@Mariannec thanks for the info, really unsure what to do. I’ll have a think about it.

Thenoseymother · 12/12/2023 20:31

Following!
Scan date - 21/09
1st Text - 28/11

Loumumoftwo · 12/12/2023 20:34

@Hollywollyxxx the carers element of UC is different to carers allowance and doesn’t matter if you work or not. It’s an extra £185.86 per month for those receiving MRC or HRC x

Purple69 · 12/12/2023 21:08

cocoapple · 12/12/2023 14:10

Scan date was 14/08, first text was 16/10 and last text was 07/11

Any news yet hun xx

cocoapple · 12/12/2023 21:19

@Purple69 Not yet, I saw that somebody on one of the Facebook groups had been awarded today with 9/08 scan date so hopefully not much longer. Going to try my best to hold off ringing as I know I’ll likely get told something inaccurate😁xx

JJO15 · 12/12/2023 22:36

I rang this morning and was told MRC and LRM was awarded for my son. Just looked in my bank and they’ve put in £2480 which would seem to work out as HRC and LRM? anyone else had this happen?

JJO15 · 12/12/2023 22:41

Oh actually I think they’ve just backdated it to before my scan date to when I phoned (even though I missed the deadline) as thag would work out at 2470 then + the £10 bonus?

126t · 12/12/2023 22:45

Hi scan date the 21st of September

Loumumoftwo · 12/12/2023 22:59

@JJO15 i’ve been paid from the scan date rather than when I phoned even though I posted the form a week before the deadline and they took ages to scan it in 🤷🏻‍♀️ would love to know how their system works!
Been thinking about getting them to re look at it, not sure what to do x

MummytoJacob14 · 12/12/2023 23:03

My scan date is 10/08 hoping to hear something soon 🤞🤞

SENASD · 12/12/2023 23:43

Just jumping on here

Scan date 18/8
1st text 23/10
2nd text 13/11

No third text so hoping that's good news and will get a decision before Xmas. Hate the waiting.

Momtothreeboys · 13/12/2023 01:03

Identical dates as me . Hope we hear soon x

JJO15 · 13/12/2023 01:23

@Loumumoftwo that’s what happened with mine! I sent in a letter saying I had sent it on time and they must’ve scanned it late, I’m surprised they listened to it and actually paid it for that extra 6 weeks. I would ring them and appeal as if they’ve paid me they clearly accept they were the ones late. Worth a try as it’s a big chunk of money x

Stressedsoph1 · 13/12/2023 01:55

with my.eldest having been through review recently and his award having remained the same do I need to confirm that to UC. I'm a bit unsure as nothings actually changed
