Thats brilliant news for you, hopefully I might hear something soon then. I haven’t phoned them once yet so maybe I’ll give them a call next week just to see if there’s any update 🤞🏼

cocoapple · 15/12/2023 14:17

@LollyM29 Yeah I would! Good luck x

Anne92 · 15/12/2023 16:54

I sent my daughters off on 24/8 what's the chance of it being done before new years? I've just been cut off after 1hr 21 mins 😭 have never been able to get through for an update

Mammalee5 · 13/12/2023 14:25

@Purple69 yes they'll backdate to the award date. Backpay is paid 3-5 days after they've accepted it and worked it out. Then usual payments are added to your award date

Hi hun how long did it take uc to answer u I wrote on 3 days ago and no one even answered me xx

Mammalee5 · 15/12/2023 20:48

@Purple69 they called me yesterday. Backpay in Monday

I was ignored until i put a note under payments

Mammalee5 · 15/12/2023 21:46

@Purple69 I'd do another message to them. I did the payments message on the 12th, got a response and notes within a few hours, then phone call 14th to confirm the amount of backpay and future payments

Purple69 · 15/12/2023 22:01

Thanks hun I will add another Monday 💜xx

my boy got awarded hrc from 25th July so am wondering what they will owe me and if they back pay xx

Mammalee5 · 15/12/2023 22:15

@Purple69 your backpay will be 5 /6 months of 456.89 so over £2k. Plus carers element if you're not already getting (need to change your circumstances to caring for someone) which is 185.86 which is over £900 for 5 months

Aww thanks hun don’t think can get carers element as we have a disabled boy as well but m a wheel chair so we already get that for him as he is 24 hour care xx can I just say ur so lovely hear to help anyone hope u have a wo Christmas 💜xx

Mammalee5 · 15/12/2023 23:03

@Purple69 with you saying "we" I'm assuming a partner. You can both claim carers element for 1 person each. So whoever is claiming it for child A, the other changes circumstances for child B. That's assuming you both do 35 hours caring a week x

Mammalee5 · 15/12/2023 23:04

@Purple69 thank you xx Christmas will be amazing and i hope you all have a wonderful Christmas too and new year xx
