Oh I also didn't get a text to say that a decision had been made or anything, so for those of you still waiting bear that in mind. She was awarded a week ago and I wouldn't have known unless I called them on Monday!

JJO15 · 12/12/2023 10:12

@zombiemum4 i haven’t had the back pay yet or the letter. I’m guessing back pay should go in in the next couple of days x

I rang last thursday for update, apparently i still had a 2/3 weeks to send extra evidence and saturday i had backpay (mine was a renewal) not had any text, calls etc... my renewal took 9 weeks in total and theve even awarded hrc lrm in advance to start in may once my son turns 5. Hope this helps if your doing a renewal. I also updated my UC and had a message back within the hour to say they are waiting for confirmation then it will be sent to DM for backpay from mrc to hrc and said they will try their best to get payment to me before xmas which i was shocked about. Feel free to message me if you need any help or advice as iv done it all before twice ☺️

Shade87 · 12/12/2023 10:48

@Ash135

Scan date 8/08
Last text 7/11

I just got off the phone...My son's claim is now with a DM, the lady on phone said I should be looking into a decision in a couple of days. I am feeling even more stressed now.

Kezzia87 · 12/12/2023 10:58

@Mum23xxx my scan date is 3 days before yours and I was told in November that it would go to DM on 08/12 which it seems to have. So with that said yours should have gone to DM on Monday at dead on 17 weeks since scan, assuming your claim has the same timescale as mine. I do think some of these people give massive timescales just to stop you ringing back for a bit.

Keddie · 12/12/2023 11:33

@Jneill2021 I think you and me must have similar dates then? Did you call in to do your MR? I am hoping for an answer next week, I will be calling again if i dont hear before next weds x

mumoftwoxxx · 12/12/2023 11:42

i couldn't wait, so called today to check if they had got my evidence I sent on the 7th and they have (phew) but the phone call was SO rushed although she was pleasant enough. She asked if I had called before, and said the wait is 21 weeks don't expect it to go to a cm until middle of January argh. This is honestly crazy! Like 15 weeks wasn't long enough 😫 I probably won't call again now.

Scan date 24/8

Anonymousks1984 · 12/12/2023 11:42

@Jneill2021 my MR has been just over 2 and a half weeks and no decision for it just yet I’ve sent in extra evidence so hope they wait for that 🤞

Ash135 · 12/12/2023 11:45

@Shade87 that's brilliant, fingers crossed you get the award you're hoping for him xx I'm not holding my breath after my call this morning. He was really unhelpful and told me Jan so if I hear before then it's a bonus. I'm not calling up any more. It's so stressful and time consuming to be told to wait another 3 weeks. xx

Jneill2021 · 12/12/2023 11:46

@Keddie mine was scanned on the 6th Dec what was your scan date ? No I wrote a 6 page letter stating why I disagree and stating the points and evidence of smi and vuw charts.
@Anonymousks1984 fingers crossed for you xx

funinthesun19 · 12/12/2023 11:53

Kirsty111 · 12/12/2023 10:29

@funinthesun19 i received the 2nd txt on the 21/11 x

@Kirsty111 Same date for 2nd text for me too! Same scan date and same text date, maybe we will get a same decision date!

DanniiB1983 · 12/12/2023 12:05

@Jneill2021 our MR's were done on the same date. I don't think we'll hear this side of Xmas 🤞

Haris · 12/12/2023 12:07

Hi All,

scan date 25/07
only received two messages and now been told to wait till January 2024.

really stressed as costs us £67 per day to book a taxi from home to hospital.

Keddie · 12/12/2023 12:07

@Jneill2021 I called on the 4th first thing. When they made the initial decision none of my evidence had been scanned on at all, so i mentioned that and also discussed my reasons why it should be re considered. He verbally agreed with me on the call. Also promised for it to go to a new DM x

Shade87 · 12/12/2023 12:09

@Ash135 Thank you Hun!!! To be honest take with a pinch of salt what you have been told, some of them are just there to discouraged people from calling. Was said the same couple of weeks ago, the guy was actually very rude...but then I was lucky enough for 2 weeks now to have nice and understanding customer service advisors and they had been coherent one to the next one about what I was told. The absence of a third text makes me believe we might be next in line. Fingers crossed, and best of luck to you too! I'll keep you updated. Xx

Ash135 · 12/12/2023 12:24

@Shade87 it's so disheartening isn't it. I appreciate they are under a lot of pressure but if they didn't move the goalposts, the calls would half. Okay lovely, keep me updated xx

LmumL · 12/12/2023 12:43

Hi all my scan date is 8/8 iv managed to get through on the phone to speak to someone and my claim is now with a CM does anyone know if this is different to a DM xx

Loumumoftwo · 12/12/2023 13:01

Hi,
Wondering if anyone has been in the same position, we have just received our back payment for DLA but have only been awarded from our scan date (02/08) we requested the form on 16th June and it had to be returned by 28th July. I posted the form 1 week before the deadline (with a receipt from post office) and feel it’s not my fault that they take so long to scan this on to their system. The form clearly states to ‘allow a few days’ for the form to reach them which I did do.
i called today to be told that I should have sent the form next day delivery and that it takes 7-10 days to reach them. I simply returned the form in the envelope they provided as I didn’t know this was an issue at the time.
any advice would be appreciated, have I got a leg to stand on?
Thanks x
