Following on from part 22 as it is about to become full! 😊

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
LollyRiv · 05/12/2023 12:20

Congratulations @Mumoflittlegirlepilepsy ❤️. So happy for you. Still no news from me 😔.
Scan date 21/07...
Will hopefully hear something soon. The wait is driving me potty! X

Ames52 · 05/12/2023 12:22

@Bub2003 So two totally different answers one day apart. What a shame. It would be so much easier for everyone if we knew the information we were given is correct. It would cause so much less stress.

Lougle · 05/12/2023 12:34

I've just received a letter to say that they received my form on 17/11/23 and a decision could take up to 15 weeks.

Kelseeyx · 05/12/2023 12:34

@Ames52 I don't get it honestly 🤦🏼‍♀️ 1 day apart yet been told next year?! Good luck @Bub2003 🤞🏻

Mammalee5 · 05/12/2023 12:37

@Lougle unfortunately that's the letter of bs they send to everyone. Realistically you're looking at 18 - 20weeks. Maybe 22 weeks with the Christmas period closure. Only saying because once you hit then15 week mark it's a hard crash knowing it's false. At least this way you can mentally prepare and if you find out sooner, brilliant x

Lougle · 05/12/2023 12:42

@Mammalee5 thanks. Unfortunately, I'm fairly realistic about the DWP. I've had DD1 on DLA for 15 years (now PIP) and DD2 was on DLA and has just transferred to PIP. I don't have masses of evidence for DD3 yet, so in a sense, the wait will serve us well because she's going through the EHCP process and I can send evidence in as it arrives.

crazytimes20 · 05/12/2023 12:45

@roki I was the same 😂. I'm so glad it's over with. Hopefully you don't have to do it again for a few years. I have to re do it in 3 years which ain't too bad. Not looking forward to that tho that's for sure.

Mrsstephens04 · 05/12/2023 12:57

How long has everyone waited for carers allowance acknowledgement? I applied a week ago but I've not heard anything yet, tried ringing but it cuts straight off. (Not UC carers element. Actual carers allowance) just wondering if it's going to be another 18 week wait like the DLA wait was or if its generally abit quicker, also it stated on the online form it gets backdated 3 months is that classed as 3 months to the same date or 12 weeks? I did state I'd like it back paid to the 26/7 when DLA approved and have the paperwork now so proof if they need it ect do they backdate to award date or just the 3 months?

MilaMom · 05/12/2023 12:59

OMG I got the text! I feel sick right now, the anxiety was killing me! Im about to cry! He qualifies!!!! My boys wait is over! I can’t believe it! I don’t know anything else as I can’t call right now! But its over for me! Congrats to all awarded as well!

Amy92x · 05/12/2023 13:19

@MilaMom

Congratulations 🎊 I'm so happy for you xx

Emsale83 · 05/12/2023 13:27

@Kelseeyx thing is he asked for the date the letter was sent not the scan date it says on it! So I hope they are not going by the letter sent date now? This is driving me crazy!

crazytimes20 · 05/12/2023 13:39

@Mrsstephens04 I was wondering the same thing. I applied Friday. I assumed it was much quicker than DlA, but I've seen a few people say it took around 6 weeks. I put the date my son was awarded. Not sure about the backdated stuff.

5anddone · 05/12/2023 13:39

@MilaMom congrats!!

Mumoflittlegirlepilepsy · 05/12/2023 13:41

@LollyRiv thank u it’s feel good to not have that feeling. I also know how that feels not knowing. Am gonna stay on till u get ur award I’ll keep check pls update me and thank u for the support cxx

mumandchefandallsorts · 05/12/2023 14:00

Hi guys,
Is anyone else struggling to get through? I’m putting 141 before the number but getting the busy tone then cut off

JJO15 · 05/12/2023 14:12

@mumandchefandallsorts im
on hold now but was cut off about 4 times in the last ten minutes. Same kept happening to me yesterday with being cut off. One time after an hour and a half 🤦🏻‍♀️ I don’t thing there’s anything about the withheld number as I’ve been doing it the last couple of days. I think it’s when the queue is full they just cut the call x

Kelseeyx · 05/12/2023 14:13

@Emsale83 he didn't ask me that just said let's see where you are and then said you're in your 18th week so looking like the new year for a decision 🙃

CourtneyLxx · 05/12/2023 14:23

@Mumoflittlegirlepilepsy congrats hun been rooting for you. @LollyRiv i really hope you hear soon it’s so disheartening the wait 😞xx

Handsfullmumof7 · 05/12/2023 14:32

Bub2003 · 05/12/2023 12:15

I also got told 21 Weeks yesterday when i called to change bank dets, but the chap seemed a bit off, hence the call this morning.

It does seem that very often when people call they get a decision quickly afterwards. Like almost they put a note on the system that it's being chased.. And then they crack on with that persons claim...

egowise · 05/12/2023 14:33

Momof2soonmomto3 · 05/12/2023 11:58

Iv just commented on old post but seen there is this new one just wondering if anyone knows when renewals are made please as my sons claim ends begining of january and we have just recieved extra evidence and a new diagnosis and was wondering if its worth sending this extra evidence or if its too late

I got a letter this morning re renewal.

16 weeks. They only sent the renewal pack a month before it was due.

They know they have these wait times, my son is now without support for god knows how long.

ASDMummy22 · 05/12/2023 14:36

Hi all first time poster long time watcher, my scan date was 28/7 and I received my text to say I qualify on Sunday, even though when I called 3 days before they said middle of December! I am wondering if anyone knows time scales for actually receiving back pay after you get the text?
many thanks and good luck to all still waiting!
