I did called today yesterday I phone twice today I had a horrible person this morning and a lovely lady this evening, how long do it take for the letter to come

Has anyone had a call from a c/m or d/m and then had a refusal? Had a call this morning and he asked loads of questions about my daughters night time needs and then just said I’ll get a letter in the next 2weeks. Anxiety is through the roof now wondering if it’s going to be a decline or not.

Please excuse my ignorance but I see posts on here saying first text and second text - please can someone explain the pattern to this? I've just resubmitted my son's DLA claim to be considered for mobility component - scan date 27/9 - but I've not had any texts yet. Thanks in advance

@UsefulZombie I’m not sure of renewals but on new claims there’s like a automated text message , I thinks it’s so we know that they haven’t forgot- some people just never get one either though. It’s all a very strange process

@MummyOf2DL I'm 14/08when I called a couple days ago they told me it is taking the full 20 weeks.So bad we have go wait and fight all the time for out children

so bad :( when I called October they told me I would hear around the week before Christmas but I take it that won’t happen now. I was going to call but it seems pointless after every one saying how long it is.

@Mrsstephens04 i applied over 3 weeks ago and a Dm called me last Thursday as he was looking at my claim. I’m currently doing an online part time course so they want proof it’s a certain amount of hours so that’s delaying it but it was around 2 weeks after I applied so shouldn’t be too long.
if you apply within 28 days of receiving your DLA award they backdate it to the start of that, hope this helps x

Still doesn't make sense how they're now doing 1/8 but have said the 3/8 won't be until next year 🤦🏼‍♀️ fingers crossed he was just exaggerating 🙃

@Kelseeyx definitely take it with a pinch of salt I called at 17 weeks and she said it won’t go to a dm until at least 18 weeks and would be a week or two after that to hear! But if I got back pay today it must have been awarded a few days ago at least! Really hope you get your answer soon, I didn’t get a text or anything just money in the bank x

@Laurenadele12 Congrats!! I definitely think they just say what they want to stop people calling🙄 My scan date is 14/8 so hopefully not too much longer for me🤞🏼 Just glad to see they’ve moved onto August🤣
