They have said they will call me back by 1pm today as she needs to escalate it and investigate what has happened. The details I gave were all correct so hoping I will still get the back payment.

Amy92x · 04/12/2023 09:54

@Vampiredette84 any news? Xx

mamaofgirls5 · 04/12/2023 09:58

finally got through been told claims are now taking 20 weeks to go to a decision maker so my daughter has another 3 weeks but on the plus side they have sent my other daughters missing payment that was due last week and she has been re awarded hrc + lrm until 2030 from her renewal. hope everyone hears this week, the wait is shameful x

Mammalee5 · 04/12/2023 10:08

@mamaofgirls5 oh hell no. That would be Christmas week which it's closed so then January to go to a DM and be with them for a week , 1 week for payment so about 24 -26 weeks for what was meant to be 15 weeks. It's absolutely disgusting. I'm calling Friday (will be 18 weeks +1 day)

JJO15 · 04/12/2023 10:10

One hour on hold and got cut off 😤

mamaofgirls5 · 04/12/2023 10:20

i don't blame you at all! its absolutely disgusting and so infuriating to be told after waiting so long that it will be even longer. they need to sort the wait times xxx

runner55 · 04/12/2023 11:09

Anyone know how long renewals take? Is it the same as new claims? Just sent in our first renewal and hoping it will be dealt with before the current claim ends in May!

Mumofepilepsy · 04/12/2023 11:18

@LollyRiv so still no answer or does it mean they have made a decision and it’s not up on screen yet xx

MangoPepsiLover · 04/12/2023 11:23

Still waiting for UC, I've got an appointment later this week with my work coach, but hes already said he doesn't know how to add it on.

Helpline I can't get through on. I've done Carers Allowance Application but had nothing from them either.

I need to get some work done today as I'm busy tomorrow with an appointment for DD.

Also anyone with a school aged child, remember to update school when you get awarded, they can apply for extra money for your DC even if they do already through Pupil Premium/Free School meals and even if you're not on UC/IS and even if you don't claim Carers Allowance they can still get extra money that has to be spent on your child.

Rebeccanew · 04/12/2023 11:26

@Tmxx nope went to decision maker on the 20th still nothing! They don’t rush UC mind do they xxxxxx

@Mumofepilepsy I'm assuming no answer. She did say she has requested I receive a text once a decision has been made but I know that doesn't always happen xx

Vampiredette84 · 04/12/2023 11:41

Amy92x · 04/12/2023 11:48

Vampiredette84 · 04/12/2023 12:19

Rebeccanew · 04/12/2023 12:38

@Hardingcl any luck with uc? Xxxxx

MammyAng84 · 04/12/2023 12:47

My universal credit isn’t taking that long for some reason apart from they forgot to add the carers element to the decision maker so it’s just been sent on Friday & was approved this morning. They said on Friday they accept the reasons & the disabled child element is due to be paid tomoro but still no further forward with carers xx

@MammyAng84 I updated mine on Wednesday last week and it's not even cancelled my appointment in 3 weeks time yet which is a commitments interview.

I've made an appointment with my work coach for Friday but even he admits he doesn't know how to get it backdated/added to my UC.

MammyAng84 · 04/12/2023 13:06

I keep popping messages on my journal asking how long it takes to backdate & they have replied with letters each time. Surely if u have been awarded dla u don’t need to attend work appointments anymore?

Tmxx · 04/12/2023 13:16

Tmxx · 04/12/2023 13:22

@Raych1989 have you heard anymore from uc? Also just checking I am ragging the right person, you had your special circumstances apply letter last week? Xxx

Raych1989 · 04/12/2023 13:44

@Tmxx yes I had the second letter on Thursday and then exactly 24 hours later the amount owed and date I would be paid it which was today x

mammaov3 · 04/12/2023 13:48
