@Amy92x congratulations 🎉

Watso2408 · 03/12/2023 12:15

@Amy92x congratulations 🎉 was that a text today? My scan date is 27/7, was 18 weeks on Thursday. No idea if with a DM as don’t have time to ring. When I tried on Friday after work I got cut off after 2 hrs when the lines closed. Just hoping I hear something this week. X

Amy92x · 03/12/2023 12:18

@Watso2408 yes the text was at 12pm I called Friday, and it wasn't with a dm but said it would be seen by the weekend staff. Was shocked to get the text today as I had lost all hope. Fingers crossed for everyone 🙏.

Scan date was 28/7

Watso2408 · 03/12/2023 12:25

@Amy92x aw that’s great, good to know they are working over the weekend. Hopefully I should hear sometime this week, I just don’t have time to ring, it’s too late when I finish work x

Amy92x · 03/12/2023 12:31

@Watso2408 I'm sure you will hear this week with ur scan date being 27.7 you might just wake up to money in ur account as not alot of dm have the option to send a text. 🙏 xx

Persistent · 03/12/2023 12:34

@Emma2345 can you let me know what they say please when you call as I didn’t send my recorded delivery and can only assume ours will be scanned at the same sort of time

Loumumoftwo · 03/12/2023 12:34

@Laurenadele12 @JJO15 scan date 2/8. Fingers crossed we hear next week 🤞 xx

Pawtucketbrew · 03/12/2023 12:37

I wonder if anyone can explain this. I was awarded LRC for my ASD daughter. In the letter I felt that they had not taken into account a lot of what was written. I called to do an MR, spoke to a lovely man who took some extra details from me and I also sent in further evidence as at this point shed been accepted into CAMHs for her MH.

On Friday i could see money waiting to clear in my account which was brilliant news. However, it looks like I've got MRC and LRM which is what I expected but that they've paid MRC from my "call" date rather than MRC-LRC difference for this period plus the LRM.

So basically I'm worried I've been overpaid. Has anyone experienced the same? Does this make sense?

Thanks

Mummytoviboys · 03/12/2023 12:38

sorry I’ve probably confused everyone lol
ive done a new claim for my youngest which scan dates 8/9!
I renewed my older boys claim a couple of weeks ago, just hoping that’s not going to take as long as it runs out in February!

Watso2408 · 03/12/2023 12:44

@Amy92x fingers crossed 🤞🏻 x

Are you on the DLA Facebook group? I have never done a renewal , all I know is what I have read in the Facebook group and renewals are being done quicker than new claims, hope this helps x edited to add that some renewals are taking up until the week before they run out so it is very hit and miss

@Sarahdestiny it really is ridiculous, in June when it was about 12 weeks wait, the Gov pledged to hire more staff and bring the waiting times down... it's going well i see . I'm 18 weeks on Thursday for 3 of my children's applications. We had no idea we could claim. We have 2 children with autism and 2 with adhd/autism. (Waiting for my little girl to be 3 next year before applying for her, 3 applications was enough torture)We home educate so evidence has been statements from the clubs they attend rather than school, and evidence from their gp / early help assessor. Probably going to need to do an MR for them but hoping 1 of them will go through first time. They all have a lot of night time needs so put in diaries. I've been filming their stimming/ refusals to walk etc for a potential tribunal. My almost 3 year old also has severe motion sickness and eczema as well as PDA (and adhd/autism) my 4 year old has autism, non verbal to everyone but his close circle, severe stimming, sleep apnea and anemia, my almost 6 year old has adhd/autism , little bladder control, severe PDA, my 7 year old has autism, non verbal a lot of the time, everything has to be stuck to routine otherwise there's heartbroken meltdowns for days and shutsdown completely. All fussy eaters all tear clothes constantly, alll have sensory issues, all need things to be "just right" etc. They all have needs far beyond a child of the same ages. It's hard work but they're all my wonderful little geniuses

I home Educate my 7 and some of them have adhd asd etc.... I'm applying for my 13 year old I didn't realise we could apply until my sister did earlier this year... He had a lot of needs day and night

Sarahdestiny · 03/12/2023 13:39

@Mummytoviboys i have also done a renewal due to end in February they told me on the phone it won't be decided until the final weeks it is up x

Persistent · 03/12/2023 15:03

@Emma2345 thank you. I’m debating whether to print the forms again and post them recorded delivery so holding off till I know when likely they should have been scanned into the system x
