@Rebeccanew yeah hun I got a letter 43 minutes after the 1st letter so I’ve now had my 2nd letter now telling me how much they’re going to pay etc so hopefully not long till the backdated money x

okay so I just checked and I have been paid from uc my back payment already…. That was extremely fast I’m shocked 😮 but not complaining x

I got a text to say my child qualifies. My other child's application was a bit quicker, so I was sure this one was a decline. 18 weeks 1 day, Scan date 25/07 and last text 16/10. No idea on rates as was too late to call, will see if I can work it out from back pay, when it arrives. Having these threads each day has been a huge help keeping me sane, thank you. Hoping everyone else gets good news soon.

@Looloo12332 Hi, it depends on who you bank with. Some banks show pending payments coming in to your bank account.

I updated circumstances 13th November, went to a 15th had the special circumstances apple letter yesterday (30th) so fingers crossed soon!

How does the backpay work!? Like for example my backdate from dla was to June 23rd, does that month count or will it be starting from July for the elements on uc xxx

@Mumofepilepsy nope 😕, no news today. I didn't get chance to call today but was hoping to hear something. I feel like it's a decline as I've not had any news but trying to stay positive. Have you heard anything? Have you tried to call? Hope we hear on Monday xx

@LollyRiv yes I called today said the same thing as last time still with DM nothing on system no notes. Ohh she did say may have complex cases to deal with. I said yes he probably looked and mine and thought ohhhh my !!!! And put it to the back. Am going to try my best to not call it makes u feel sick. All the ladies that had same date as us have been awarded. Now the chat is full of end of July and august. She did say u have all ur evidence etc so that’s made me feel a bit better. Am defo gonna stop now and just wait xxx

@MilaMom did you get through yesterday? We are same scan date 26/07 and I've not heard anything either.

I sent additional evidence and they noted on my file that I had so I'm now worried they'll be waiting for the evidence to be scanned etc before making the decision 🤷‍♀️

I can't get UC to even acknowledge my messages/updates.

I rang yesterday and the lady on the phone was like "It'll update when it updates nothing I can do" and hung up.

@MilaMom im scan date 27/7, and not heard a thing. I work school hours so can’t ring really, tried when I finished work yesterday, I was on hold for 2hrs then got cut off as phone lines closed 🤬

I had a letter today to say i can get carers allowance, does anyone know how soon i will get paid after getting this letter. Thank you xx

@Sophiesmilesxxx you have to apply for it.Its classes as income so u get given it but gets taken from universal credit/unvime support/esa ecf its silly really as its seems your no better off xx

@Looloo12332 I have applied for it and the letter i had today says that they have looked at my earnings and that i can have carers allowance because i earn less than 602.33 a month. Im not on universal credit yet, we got the old fashioned tax credits etc

@Sophiesmilesxxx it is ridiculous that carers allowance is removed in full from universal credit but , 1) it spreads payments and 2)it pays national insurance contributions for your pension so is beneficial, especially if you're unable to work due to caring for another person
