I feel like a crazy person checking my bank account all the time now.
I called on Tuesday and it was with a case manager, Ill probably call again on monday if I dont receive any text or money by then.
Im just a pile of nerves at this point now.... The last few days are the worst.
I'm just so scared it will be declined. Seeing people past my date being awarded is freaking me out.

Does anyone know how long it’s taken UC to sort out backdated money once they have accepted they reason for delay?

@MilaMom My scan date was 25/07 and I received a text and was awarded yesterday. My claim was with a DM for 4 days before a decision was made. The last stretch is really nerve wracking, I was so anxious it was unreal! I really don’t think you’ll have much longer to wait at all, a lot of 25/07 have been awarded this week so you shouldn’t be far behind x

Yes, I don't think I have long to wait anymore.
But do we get a text as well if we are not qualified?
I just wonder if I don't hear anything it might be a bad thing.
Im hoping for something by Monday, finger crossed here.

You don’t get a text if you wasn’t awared , only a letter sent out

@MilaMom Ive seen some people get a text that haven’t been awarded but it’s worded differently to the acceptance text. Mine said “We've decided your child qualifies for Disability Living Allowance. You don't need to contact us about this. We'll send you a letter with all you need to know. If you don't get this within 2 weeks please contact us.” But what I’ve also seen on here, not everyone gets a text - whether they’re accepted or not. It’s hit and miss. If you can manage to make it through the weekend then call Monday, but if you don’t think you can hold out then I’d give them a ring today. It’s the not knowing that’s the worst x

Absolutely, not knowing is the worst.
I'm feeling way too anxious, I think I will call.
I have a 30min break now, will try my luck.

I was told I would get a txt for definite but didn’t get 1 the whole way through so it’s all Dm dependent & wether they have the facility. You can get txts that say a decision has been made or a txt that says ur child has been awarded

once you get uc letter around special circumstances how long does it take to receive back payment?

Been cut off 4 times now... don't think Ill be able to get through today.

@MilaMom withhold your number before calling and it doesn't cut you off

Im on hold now, but don't think I have enough time for this.
I heard of people where they called back if you get cut off when you are answered so I try not to withhold the number, but it is a good idea.

@MilaMom I didn’t get a text and I was awarded, so don’t stress. I only found out when I called :)

On hold 1hr so far I know um weeks away yet but I need to know they git rhe stuff I sent in x

150 mins waiting I got the decision scan date 31 07 23 and today I got the best result I could ever ask for so amazed and glad I rang xx

@MammyAng84 I got my letter yesterday dinner time accepted the special circumstances and have just received my 2nd letter today stating how much I'm owed and it will be in the bank Tuesday 🥳 finally x

They accepted my circumstances yesterday & have updated payments to reflect the change so now to just wait & see when I’m getting the money 🫠
