What is DLA?

I’m on hold now my scan date 28/7 let’s see what they have to say today

Well got through within 4 minutes to be told it’ll go to a dm by end of the week seem to be getting told the same thing fingers crossed and we’ll done to all the people being awarded 🫶🏻

Called 9am on the dot got straight through to a lady who was so unhelpful and rude. Couldn't tell me anything 🙄

@Purple69 Nope not heard anything, it says 20 week wait which for me would be the 1st of Jan so I’m just going to have to wait until then. It seems so far away🤣 I’ve seen August dates close to me being awarded but obviously some people from July are still waiting so god knows! Sometimes wonder if they know what they’re doing. It’s frustrating x

I seem to have become stuck in the loop of getting through the automated options, only to get cut off. I’m guessing phone lines are busy this morning, going to try again around 10:30. Congratulations to everyone awarded today and good luck to everyone awaiting a decision x

@TheRBC me too! I can’t phone now until lunch. It’s so frustrating. I’ve seen them on Facebook being awarded 15/08 and 28/08 but we’re still sat here as July scan dates. It’s very strange x

@NeuroDmummy I’m 14/8 and I’ve also seen those dates on Facebook! Must be frustrating for you even more with you being July x

That happened to me 5 times yesterday.

@crazytimes20 i can now see the frustration, hang in there , feel like having nightmare now horrible how it has taking my whole life, i hope i wont have to do a MR.

I get through the automated system but then get cut off, 6 times I've tried since 9am

@roki I think once you get to 18 wks the panic sets in. I keep checking my phone for a text, but I also know that not everyone gets a text and that's even worse as it means we will have to wait even longer till we can ring them again. I just can't be bothered with it all now. I really don't want to do a MR. I basically sent all the evidence I have. His diagnoses, speech therapy etc. I don't think I have much else. It's just so deflating seeing dates past ours being awarded.

If you are awarded and don’t know about it can money go in at any time of the day ?

I don't know about the time of the day, but certainly the money can come in without you getting any text or letter.
A few woke up to the money in their account today.

I'm in the hold queue finally, been alternating between DLA and utility company

My scan date is 10/8 so 16 weeks tomorrow for me. The wait is driving me mad!

It can be quite draining, isn’t it?! I try not to think about it and just get on with the kids each day. Once it hits 18 weeks then the stress may kick in then haha

I'm just worrying it'll be a decline more than anything.

Anyone know how long it’s taking uc to backdate money after they have acknowledged info on journey plz? Also is carers allowance really taking 6 weeks 🤔
