DLA wait times… part 22 (2023)

Following on from part 21 as it is about to become full! 😊

My youngest son has been declined twice with the same reasons (it’s normal for his age)….he’s got adhd (diagnosed) suspected autism, a sight impairment and pelvic instability. Hope it will be 3rd time lucky, I’ve got more evidence this time so fingers crossed. Will def do a MR this time though if refused.

Also waiting on my eldest sons….he has been on DLA for a few years (moderate to severe autism with PDA profile, ADHD, selective mutism, OCD) and he’s home schooled as he can’t cope in mainstream and he’s only just been given an EHCP as he needs a special needs school. He was already on HRC & LRM but I missed the renewal date as I was in intensive care so had to do a new claim. Just hope he gets it back. When I rang to check and said can you also make a note to DM to use his old claims and evidence and she said they don’t keep them so I’m not writing that (which I know is not true).

@NeuroDmummy Another scan date buddy here - 25/07. Quite a few with our date have been awarded today, I am going to give them a ring tomorrow and see where my claim is at. The longer the wait, the worse I feel…x

Anyone still waiting on a MR and if so what extra information was sent in?? Many thanks

i was fine until the last 2 weeks. now am a wreck! checking my mail/ bank accounr/ text messages luke a mad person🙄. after waiting this long and to get declined is horrible, so hopefully even LRC i will happy to get it thant get a decline.

scan date 25th july few of us here, i saw some august date on Facebook been awarded, and some june still waiting😏

@roki I was the same. I've been fine right up till last week and now I'm worried sick. I'm just dreading a decline and having to go through the MR process. I was really hoping for a text today.

@roki @crazytimes20 I feel the exact same. I had prepared myself that the 15 weeks wasn’t going to happen and was ok with it. But these last 10 days or so, there is just a constant knot in my stomach. I am constantly checking my phone to make sure I haven’t inadvertently missed a text, refreshing my online banking and even checking my junk mail folder. I am going to bite the bullet and call tomorrow, I am fully prepared to start a MR if needs be, it’s just the not knowing and being stuck in limbo that I am finding extremely difficult x

I'm still waiting 28/7 don't even think mine is with a dm yet they did say this week it should go but tbh they say all different things everything 🙄 some people have called up and been told its not with a dm and had a text to say they qualify whilst still on the phone. Its the not knowing that drives me mad.

@TheRBC i tried calling today but after 1 hour and 29 minutes it threw me off 😭
I called up last week and the lady I had was so rude and very blunt. Wouldn’t actually give me any answers just said to wait. I have 2 claims both scanned 25/07 as of yet no response to either. Only had texts for one claim too!

@Mumofepilepsy Me to, I keep swinging between it definitely being a decline and thinking we've been missed and we might miss MR if we don't know soon

@NeuroDmummy I've got 3 claims in for the 04/08 received 2 texts on different dates but think it's 1 text for all the claims. Got 2 letters for each of them though

Just checked my bank and was shocked to see a payment from DWP for £3097!! Is anyone please able to help me work out the rates as Im unable to call at all this week and have been so stressed waiting to find out. None of the calculations I’m doing seem to make sense but then I also have dyscalculia 🤣

payment: £3097
scan date: 24/07
called for form: 5/06 although on the form it said I called on the 10th (which is a Saturday 🙃)
form was due back on 22/07 and I know it arrived then but as that was a t it wasn’t scanned until 24/07.

Also last text was 16/10 so just over 6 weeks ago!

Congratulations on your award it figures out correct figures for 24 weeks back pay for high care low rate mobility plus £10 Christmas bonus if that helps xx

Scan date 13/07 rang them yesterday and was told because mine is an 'asking them to review due to a decline in mobility' case and not a new claim these are taking longer and I am now looking at January!! Gutted.

This wait is driving me crazy, constantly checking my phone my bank and the thoughts of a decline is doing my head in ... 17 weeks today, so I really feel for those who are still waiting longer than me good luck to everyone

Congratulations on all the awards and sorry to hear of the declines.

My claim will be 16 weeks on Friday (scan date 11/08) so I’ll probably call in 2 weeks time to see what’s going on

@Mumofepilepsy im 21/07 last text 16/10 and heard nothing since. Tried to phone a few times always get cut off 😩the wait is killing me xx

@Mumofepilepsy Nothing for me either, 19 weeks today, it is honestly driving me insane. I've got to call my utility company this morning but will try and call after them.

I woke up this morning to a lovely payment in my account. My last text was 16/10 and looks like they have backdated to the date when I called for the form in June.
Thank you all for keeping me sane during the long wait. Reading this thread has helped me no end. I hope everyone still waiting hears some good news very soon and your little ones receive the support they are entitled to. My fingers are crossed for you all. X

@CourtneyLxx thats same scan and txt date as me. It’s driving me mad 😡 it’s amazing that everyone is being awarded xx I would just love a answer soon xx this month seems a bit different from June and it jump quite a bit from 17th July then went to start of august then to 24th July. It’s a little mixed up xxx

The dates are literally all messed up. Someone on FB has been awarded 28th yet there are still so many earlier dates waiting. I'm ringing tomorrow again if I don't hear anything today. He told me to wait till Friday but I'm too impatient at this point. The waiting is awful.
