DLA wait times… part 22 (2023)

Following on from part 21 as it is about to become full! 😊

Wow that is quite a jump! Fingers crossed for all the people with August scan dates who are just starting to get answers. Mine is 24/08 so will be a good 4 or 5 weeks for me yet.

I spoke to a lovely lady mine as just gone to c/w today so hopefully I will hear soon.

Hi all I rang today scan date 25/07 and the lady said our claim is now with a case manager. What is the difference between a case manager and a decision maker? thanks all :)

You may have spoken to same lady as me I’ve been told this I just can’t cope with the wait! Xx

@crazytimes20 how frustrating after being on hold so long. At least you know it’s with a DM I guess. I’m also fully expecting mine not to have been looked at yet either x

@Shilli84 yeah I'm hoping I hear the next day or so. Can't stand not knowing. Fingers crossed for everyone.

1hr and 20mins on hold so far and just had a text to say my son qualifies I’m crying 😭
Hopefully not much longer to wait to find out rates x

I just got through and a nice guy said that my scan date is the 26th July (I didn't know because I never got the letter, only the texts), my case is with the Case Manager and I should hear from it soon. Unfortunately he said that my further evidence document is not recorded on the system, I sent this weeks ago... So a bit annoyed at that, but he said he would add a note on the system saying I sent more evidence and they might sent it straight to the case manager.
I'm guessing by the end of the week I might know something.

@crazytimes20 @MilaMom hopefully not too long a wait now for a decision for you both. I am going to hold off until tomorrow until I call I think. Can someone tell me the difference between a case manager and a decision maker please?x

Seeing people being awarded with August dates is making me want to call so bad, but I it'll be a waste of time 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

@MilaMom oh no! im currently on hold to ask if they received extra evidence I sent a few weeks ago too. I hope they have it

I think I did it wrong though... I sent to their normal free post address.
Some people where sending it to a specific address and next day delivery, I think I done that one wrong.

Hey!!! I just got my first text saying they are still looking. I submitted on 27/09. That's a good sign right?

Scan date 25/7 awarded MRC and LRM backdated until 14/6.

Scan date 26/07. Anyone else this date?
Told they were working on mid July cases so I was close to going to CM but still a while yet.
They've not recieved my additonal info I'd sent in beginning of Nov. Asked if I should send again and they said yes so I guess I'm nowhere near 🤷

@Watso2408 thank you 💓 I'm hoping it won't be much longer until you get a decision I was expecting to be waiting another week or so, I received the text at 8.40am and rang at 9 on the dot and the man said it was awarded today so they must start early, best of luck let us know when you hear x

My scan date is also 26th and is with case manager, I called today.
They also never got my further information I sent, so probably decision will be made without that.
So if it is declined, I will ask to be reviewed with all the information.

It's such a source of support isn't it

@roki thank you, I was so shocked I was expecting at least another week to 10 days waiting it's like today was the first day I didn't wake up and check my bank instantly or even give it a 2nd thought (I'm super unwell at the moment got up late, was a mad rush getting 5 kids ready for school on time and getting out the door on time) so I hadn't even thought about it and was so happy to get that text, I'm hoping and praying you get your decision this week aswell 💓 good luck and keep us updated x

@MilaMom i very nearly made the same mistake when I tried to send it signed for at the post office. They said they cannot send signed for on a free post address. I didn’t want to risk sending as I sent my original application free post and they didn’t receive it which was so frustrating. I ended up sending it to the Wolverhampton address. I have just got through and they confirmed it’s all scanned in.
just a quick side note for August scan dates, I have 2 applications in, 2/8 and 7/8 and they are still in a holding queue. He said 18 weeks from scan date + 5-9 days for desicion
