DLA wait times… part 22 (2023)

Following on from part 21 as it is about to become full! 😊

my Date 25/7 I’ve got a random amount of money pending in my account from dla can’t work out what rate it is from the amount it doesn’t add up properly

Looks like another day of waiting for me.
Last text 16/10 ☹️

The £10 Christmas bonus is included in the backpay if that helps

I believe they are adding a £10 Christmas bonus to payments now, could that be it?

@MangoPepsiLover @Louboo09 called up answered straight away it’s with a DM since Wednesday. She checked acc said nothing on screen yet. Shouldn’t be long she also said I would get a txt but wouldn’t get a txt if it’s a decline 😬🤞I feel sick pls pls pls say YES

Scab date 26/7 and had so many texts this morning from all 3 kids schools and nursery about changes of dinner menu, school nativities, flu spray ect my phone was non stop pinging so I decided to chuck it in my pocket and read the texts properly in thr car after putting the kids in their classrooms. Sat in the car to a text from the DLA your child qualifies for disability allowance!! I rang at 9 on the dot to find out he's been awarded HRC untill July 2025 and backpay should hit my account in 3-5 days... Good luck to everyone else waiting I know the wait is absolutely awful but I promise you it's so worth all those agonising weeks when your child gets awarded what they rightfully deserve this will make such a difference!

I’m the same dates as both of you, was also planning on calling tomorrow to hopefully get some news. Good luck and keep us updated. I saw three in total yesterday with our date awarded and one on the 26/7 x

27 mins on hold, got to hang up at 9.45am as I have a meeting 10am but should be done no later than 11.30 so will try again then if i can't get through now

@Louboo09 ohhhh I do hope so do u know how long they are normally with the DM for ?? She said 3-5 working days so that makes it today x today has to be the worse I’ve felt x

@Mumofepilepsy i think it’s different with each person, I didn’t phone up to check so I really wouldn’t know. I’ve been paid 22 weeks so mine must have been accepted on fri x

Does this mean they won't back pay it to the 13th June? Thanks for any help im just not getting it

Currently on hold. Seeing a fair few after my date being awarded so thought I may as well ring for an update. First time I've rang apart from asking if they received my forms. Hope I don't get a rude person. Scan date 25/7

Called this morning as I’ve been some august dates being awarded and we are 1/8, nice lady on the phone said it’s not gone to a DM yet and should go to one next week and after that could be a couple days / week or so after that to hear, the wait continues 😩

I just started to freak out now! Just saw so many 25/07 being awarded and I had no text... I'm starting to be afraid is a no for us :(
Du I just realised my last text was on the 23/10 and not the 20th lol So I might still have to end of the week and hopefully will hear something! Fingers crossed to everyone waiting and congratulations to everyone awarded!

@Shilli84 Ive also seen a few with our dates and a couple of ones with later dates. I can’t call until later on this afternoon but am trying to hold out until tomorrow. It gets more and more nerve wracking as the time goes on…x
