Yeah I did get that, it only states the disabled element though. Any idea on what happens with the carers element?

Mumofasd3 · 13/11/2023 19:00

MammyAng84 · 13/11/2023 19:02

I’m Newcastle with scan date of 20/07

Vikz37 · 13/11/2023 19:02

@Mumofasd3 I'm going to ring first thing tomorrow see if mine is with a DM yet. I bet I won't be so lucky but your the 2nd I've seen that is with the same scan date plus one awarded.

Mumofasd3 · 13/11/2023 19:08

@Vikz37 I'll keep my fingers crossed for you x

Rebeccanew · 13/11/2023 19:13

Mummyrach13 · 13/11/2023 19:16

@Asdmummyhere I was awarded on a Tues 31st and had the payment the Friday x

Mummyrach13 · 13/11/2023 19:16

I can do it @Rebeccanew x

Jaffacakesrlife · 13/11/2023 19:19

@Tammie23 Honestly not to hopefully, hes only 3 so we wouldn't get the mobility part as he can walk. The care part is hard because of his age but hes delay by 12-18 months. we have PEC cards because hes non verbal but the meltdowns and violent outburst are horrendous. As hes 3 its hard trying to convince somone its not just terrible 2s and were struggling for a autism/ global development delay diagnosis because hes only 3. we have lots of professionals involved so hopefully that goes in our favour.
How you feeling?
The wait is so stressful. xx

Asdmummyhere · 13/11/2023 19:25

@Jaffacakesrlife my boy is 3, asd and gdd undiagnosed. He is non verbal bar a few singular words. His communication and language development is 4-6 months with gaps. Fine and gross motor skills 12-16 months with gaps. He walks on tip toes and doesn't run. Can't jump off the floor without help but can jump on/off something bouncy. Has regular meltdowns which leads to vomiting. He got awarded mrc last week. Keep your chin up lovely xx

Sskanf · 13/11/2023 19:27

@Jaffacakesrlife your boy sounds a lot like my almost 4 year old and it's very hard

Lauren2121 · 13/11/2023 19:29

That’s great Thankyou the reply! Hopefully won’t be too much longer, the waiting is making me so anxious most people say 5 weeks from second text so I’m hoping beginning/mid of December

Lauren2121 · 13/11/2023 19:32

Thankyou for the reply, let’s hope it’s before the new year, fingers crossed for you, I’m getting so anxious waiting x

Jaffacakesrlife · 13/11/2023 19:52

@Asdmummyhere thats amazing, im so happy for you. Everything you said literally described my son to a T. The right side of his body (leg, foot, arm hand) doesn't work as well as the left does move it (possibly mild form of cerabapalsy) waiting to see another paediatrician with possibly MRI scan. You have given me hope xx

Rebeccanew · 13/11/2023 20:16

@Mummyrach13 thankyou lovely xxxxxxx

Tammie23 · 13/11/2023 20:34

If you have loads of professionals involved you should be fine plus as long as you have filled the form put right and told them everything about his needs which are more than a child his age then you should be fine honestly, my son is 12 can't walk got weak leg muscles currently in a wheelchair and have to carry him up and down the stairs school have referred him for an ehcp he's under physio and a few others for care plus his eye sight is so bad he can't see without glasses at all just blur I'm not feeling to hopeful tbh as I don't know if I've said enough on the form xx

Pennyannabel8 · 14/11/2023 04:46

Hi all
I have applied for my daughter who has Autism, Hypermobility and Asthma.
Scan date is 6/9 rang them on 6/10 as I hadn't heard from them and I needed to send more supporting evidence (last week I finally got two letters and yesterday a text) and I was told her claim was looking at going to a DM around 17/1
I really cannot believe how long the claims are now taking, it's shocking.

Mumof3specialkids · 14/11/2023 07:55

They changed my sons award from high rate to middle rate care once he was prescribed melatonin. I had to do a new claim for him this time because I missed the renewal date. He’s still prescribed melatonin but he’s 12 now and refuses to take it, I’ve told them that so I hope they understand how difficult nights are. I might ring to ask them to state that they can check with the GP as we haven’t had a prescription in half a year.
Good Luck!

Vikz37 · 14/11/2023 09:05

Rang as the clock turned 9 got through the options and it cut off. So frustrating 😫

Lauren2121 · 15/11/2023 09:11

What was your scan date please? Congratulations to you x

NoeticCosmos · 16/11/2023 11:34

NoeticCosmos · 08/11/2023 12:23

Scan date 06/07

With a decision maker since Monday the 06/11

Wait time to get through this morning 1 hour, 12 minutes. (Called just after 11am)

Said I should hear something in the next few days.

Call from a DM on the 10th November for clarification on the application.

High rate DLA, Lower Mobility, Awarded, same day 10th of November (although not told on the call)

Letter received today 16/10

Backdated to 06/07

Money already credited to account.

So from the scan date, that was 18 weeks, and 1 day to decision made.

Lauren2121 · 16/11/2023 21:45

@Tammie23 okay Thankyou hopefully we won’t be waiting too much longer, fingers crossed for you x

Lauren2121 · 16/11/2023 21:47

@NoeticCosmos Thankyou for letting us know, I’m on week 14 so hoping about another 4 weeks, congratulations on the award x
