Hey guys i have been backseat watching now for 15weeks.. I got a letter today stating he has been awarded. Scan date 27/7 we are East Midlands area. The decision was made on the 8th of this month so that’s 15weeks so 14weeks 6 days. I did not get a text just 2 letters this morning saying he has qualified and another about your claim..! I don’t no if this helps anybody. Thank you all for your help and advice over the last few months got my fingers and toes crossed for you all.. I also need to add I sent 1 letter from the school and the other was a referral from the doctors. Sorry if it all sounds muddled up x

@Sskanf have you had an update at all? Tempted to call tomorrow x

@Sskanf yours 12/7 hun? I’d give them call as iv seem some with awards from your date hun…and honestly iv had such a rubbish day past few month has been totally hard! I just really hope they understand my forms and all my eveidence I feel like I’m just at my wits ends hun! Sorry to rant…give them a call and see where yohr at you could have a lovely surprise hun xxxxxxx

@Mumto2sengirlsxx fuming! She said when I asked for both to be backdated they only requested the carers part. Not child disability Element so she’s only sent that off today to a DM 🙄 was not impressed as then got the whole there is no time scale reply! X

@Keddie I phoned Friday was told its not with a DM and to cal back following Friday. What's yiur scan date?.

@Sskanf 13/7 I sent in extra evidence over the weekend so hopefully that was scanned today?

Just got off the phone with a really lovely man who told me its with DM now and should have an answer by the end of the week!! Fingers crossed!

@Wildboysmum18 how long did you take for the dm to give you a decision hun on uc? @Mummyrach13 that's ridiculous how they can read a message which clearly states backpay request for both and then they "missed" the dla element! I'd tell them that you want to make a complaint about how your requests have been handled. Xx

@Mumofasd3 thats good. I'm 25/7, last txt 23/10. Would be nice if mine was the same but very doubtful. I'm from Yorkshire and haven't noticed anyone from here with decisions around my date yet. Fingers crossed for you.

@puzzleme5 Hi, No we're on the wait list for speech and language, occupational therapy. since i sent the forms in we have been seen by both, we're now using PECs for speech and he needs an MRI scan as he has delays with the right side of his body. im hoping their taking so long because they have requested all the information from tgese places. xx

Am I entitled to the carers element part? I’ve updated that on uc already x

The careres element is from mrc or hrc so yes if you have been awarded one of these 😁 xxx

He was awarded mrc, last Monday. I’ve received a letter in my journal saying I will get the £146 disabled child element but nothing about the carers element yet? Will that be separate? X

I did but apparently they missed one off! Glad you’ve had a reply and your money letter quickly though x

I’ve reported that I’m caring for someone now, it was sent to a decision maker on the 10th November and they said today I will get the disabled child element, just haven’t heard anything about the carers element. X
