Congrats to people recieveing awards today 🥳🥳 anyone help me out... when I updated UC start of the year for my daughters claim on dla they sorted backpay etc now I've applied for backpay for my youngest and they said they now need to verify both my kids? Do I need to do anything. I'm so confused 😕 xx

Mrsstephens04 · 27/10/2023 12:31

Thank you I only earn £90 a week but wasn't sure if I would be penalised with being married and he's wage coming into consideration because on paper it looks alot but when broken down for expenditure on the business ect we're left with pittance 🤣 il check out the site thank you so much

PinkMoscatoLover · 27/10/2023 12:36

@Mumto2sengirlsxx nope you won’t need to do anything. It’s just standard procedure, you’ll be fine.

@Mrsstephens04 oh no don’t worry it’s not like UC where it’ll have to be a joint claim. It only takes the individual carers circumstance into consideration

BabaganooToo · 27/10/2023 12:38

Can anyone help with sending birth certificate? They've requested it, and sent an envelope to send it in. But the return envelope has no address and just has a clear window to see the address on the letter (which I need to send back with the certificate)... but the letter has MY address on it. It does have the return address but it's not in a place I can make visible through the envelope window. Feel like I am going mad 😂 Am I missing something here?

Mumto2sengirlsxx · 27/10/2023 12:42

@PinkMoscatoLover ah right okay they told me to write a message on journal next week to check progress... are they just verifying on the system that she is receiving dla? Think it's funny that now they want to verify my children though 🤣 xx

I wrote address on a plain piece of paper and celotaped it inside to the clear window xx

BabaganooToo · 27/10/2023 12:44

@Tmxx ahh yes thank you!! You'd think being an adult I would've been able to work that out but nope 😂 I blame the lack of sleep

I am useless I never know what to do in any situation 😅 I only did that because I asked my mum🤣🤣 xx

crazytimes20 · 27/10/2023 12:56

Hi ladies
My scan date is 25/7. My son's SENco is referring him for a sensory processing assessment as he is struggling quite a lot at the minute...his already diagnosed ASD. Should I tell them this or is there no point? I don't have a meeting till middle of November with her and I have nothing to send in apart from me maybe writing a letter to tell them. Not sure if there is any point.

Also, my son had his ADHD assessment around a month ago now and they told me they will speak with his SENco to get more info. How long did it take others to hear back with the results? I've heard nothing since.

BabaganooToo · 27/10/2023 12:57

@Tmxx hahah I was literally about to call my mum when you replied 😅

BabaganooToo · 27/10/2023 12:58

Oh and in case anyone is interested I got the letter through today with scan date of 6/10 and they said the wait is approximately 15 weeks... but following this thread I'm guessing that's not accurate!

Treena023 · 27/10/2023 13:00

You can claim carers allowance as long as you work less than 16 hours a week your husbands income doesn’t come into it as your the carer not him xx

Mumto2sengirlsxx · 27/10/2023 13:02

@Mummyrach13 your doing so well holding off calling. I'm not as strong I couldn't wait all weekend 🤣 xx

Mummyrach13 · 27/10/2023 13:13

Im only holding off as I’m so scared it’s a decline @Mumto2sengirlsxx 😬😂 I’m going with the no news is good news motto! Although it’s definately hard xx
