@crazytimes20 I'm 26th July too...dont think we will hear before end November.

Anyone know how long an award is awarded for? My son has been diagnosed for autism is 5 years old, referred for speech and language therapy and ADHD. I'm claiming first time for him and wondered IF he were awarded how long does it last for a 5 year old?

Asdmummyhere · 05/10/2023 16:58

I am 06/07 and have had 2 texts. The last one Monday too. I’m sure I’ve read somewhere the minimum is 2 years but that could be wrong

Keddie · 05/10/2023 17:07

The pattern appears to be 2 x text 3 weeks apart, then a decision 5 weeks after the 2nd text?

Muva306 · 05/10/2023 17:13

Your theory seems to be right!! I had my last text on 25th July and then exactly 5 weeks later my claim was rejected

Asdmummyhere · 05/10/2023 17:15

Yes I’ve seen that. 20 days between texts then 5 weeks. I’m sure someone today said what date they’ve received the messages then was awarded 5 weeks later. 5 weeks from my last text would be 17.5 weeks which also seems around the average wait at the minute

Asdmummyhere · 05/10/2023 17:16

Oh no, sorry to hear that. Have you done a mr?

Northenmumof2 · 05/10/2023 17:29

My first text was 5 weeks and 2 day, then 3 weeks and 4 till the next. I didn't get a letter for four weeks. My scan date is the 8th of June.

Muva306 · 05/10/2023 17:33

@Asdmummyhere yes ☺️ will be 2 weeks tomorrow, since my forms arrived with them

Crystal2023 · 05/10/2023 17:39

scan date 07/06 just called for update lovely lady said claim has now been passed to a DM today, hopefully not much longer for news, was on hold for call about 1hr 30min so took a while to get through, decision can take 1day & 2weeks she explained. Good luck to all still waiting will keep you all updated

Keddie · 05/10/2023 17:41

My scan date is the 13/7 I have never had a letter, called them on the 18th August to get scan date. Had 1st text on the 19th of September so expecting one next week. They did advise back in August it would be middle of November. The wait is so frustrating x

Billie1993 · 05/10/2023 19:52

@Keddie my scan date is the day before yours 12-07-23 I’ve received two letters and only received 1 text on the day I called up on the 19th September so they text you the same day I received one to. The wait is horrible isn’t it

UC question. I did a change of circumstances for my son and I wrote on my journal. How long do I give it before I write on there again? Xx

When did you do the coc and left a message on your journal?

Northenmumof2 · 05/10/2023 20:38

Has anyone been refused when a charity filled out the paperwork? I have welfare rights fill it. Just thinking the worse...

Mummytodo · 05/10/2023 21:37

I'm getting nervous I haven't provided enough information in the form

crazytimes20 · 05/10/2023 22:05

Mummytodo

So am I. I write quite messy too and even this is worrying me. I've sent of his autism report, speech and language reports, school work plans (can't remember the actual name), But I still feel there is more i should have added.
I'm not due to know till November/December so it's an awful long wait.

Natelias · 05/10/2023 22:05

No one can answer unfortunately. Some children are awarded for 2 years, 5 years, 7 years and I’ve even seen some awarded for 10 years. I have no clue what it depends on either!

Northenmumof2 · 05/10/2023 23:10

Omg...I'm finding myself waiting up for 12 o'clock ....silly behaviour

Madness isn’t it! Have you called for an update at all? x

Sammilh · 06/10/2023 00:29

My scan date is 31/05 and i just received back pay, no text or anything, fingers crossed for everyone else

BoyMumGirlMum2022 · 06/10/2023 01:32

Hopefully some of you will have some good news in the coming week.
My sons back pay arrived safely in my bank yesterday ( as it said it would ) however no letter still. Hoping it arrives soon as I changed my circumstances on UC and now have appointment face to face with them next Saturday. So imagine I'll need proof of what he's getting.
Does anyone know how long letters take once your child's been accepted?

Proudmamaof4x · 06/10/2023 02:05

Hey,

(first time post)
Sorry to hear about your situation . We are also under three hospitals and if you are paying congestion charge GOSH can reimburse you for it.

Whatever department you go to, tell them you want a congestion charge form (green document) get them to fill it out and take it to reception. Also, family fund has a scheme for motability cars for under 3 xx

Do you know the date he was awarded as you need the exact date to enter when you do a coc?

My letter took 4 weeks to come once awarded and I had to call to chase it up. If you call them tomorrow to confirm the exact dates of when he was awarded then you won’t need to bring the letter with you to your appointment. Just say that you haven’t received the letter confirmation yet and I believe they can check on their side

Mumtotwoboys121 · 06/10/2023 08:51

Just rejoined the fb group to see if there’s any scan dates on there. Seems that new claims are anything between 17 and 19 weeks now. I may pluck up the courage to ring when it gets to 17 weeks 🙈
