I couldn’t agree more I can’t understand why there is no online facility we all hVe individual case numbers that they give us surely it isn’t hard to devise a tracking system maybe we should all take it to dragonsden 😂😂 I really hope you get some answers today I called Monday and wasn’t with a dm so not even wasting an hour of my time today xxx

An online portal would be the best thing they could do! It would save them time and money in the long run. Thank you, I'll keep you updated if you want? Xx

Laushe · 29/09/2023 10:37

Completely agree about an online portal. They have done it with universal credit. I feel like the government are really behind with implementing technology. All these paper forms and 90 minutes wait on the phone make it feel like the 70's!
My scan date is 31/05 and I'm going to ring next week if I haven't heard anything by Wednesday. Good luck to everyone

@CHDmumma
After 1 hour and 2 minutes of waiting…a 30 second conversation to say it’s now with a DM. I’m now not sure how I feel about this. 😂🙈 Should get a decision within the week. Gonna be a long weekend! Xxx

Thats brilliant news!! Keeping everything crossed for you! Easier said than done but try your best to put it to the back of your mind.

I am still on hold 😑 xx

Mummyof6love · 29/09/2023 10:46

@CHDmumma everything still crossed for you hun. Hopefully you will have a decision. It’s now the thought of an I gonna get a text, a call, money in the bank, a letter……ahhh….so close yet sooo far xxx

Lozzy2000 · 29/09/2023 10:51

They refused to tell me anything :( just to wait another 3/4 weeks before calling again

Northenmumof2 · 29/09/2023 10:53

I sadly think they want to make it hard, same with PIP to put people off. Hope they give up. I think that's why 50% of those refused get it after an MR.

Northenmumof2 · 29/09/2023 10:55

My scan date was 16 weeks yesterday (8/6). From reading this page it seems potluck if your declined or not...it's a ridiculous system.

So just got through to the lovilest person I've ever spoken to! It is still with the DM and should be any day now apparently, I asked to receive a text which he's written a note on our application for this. He explained all the dates if DS is entitled. He also explained each DM only has a couple of applicants a day because of how much reading they have to do. He told me not to worry about phoning because if I'm ever in doubt best thing to do is call and ask. Long weekend ahead for us both lovely xx

Northenmumof2 · 29/09/2023 10:59

They sound lovely, what a nice bloke 👏

I was so ready to have the usual, no answer just wait. I was shocked that he really took the time to answer all my questions, really explain the process and dates and what they mean etc. He even asked how my son is which so lovely. X

Northenmumof2 · 29/09/2023 11:04

Wow, so positive. I hope you get answers soon. What was your scan date again?

Mummyof6love · 29/09/2023 11:10

@CHDmumma
Ah, I love you spoke to someone so nice. I’ve been lucky I’ve had a few nice people but I know some are not quite as nice and helpful. That’s reassuring they only have a few to go through each day. I asked for a text aswell last time I called. Didn’t think to mention it this time. Fingers crossed for us early next week xxx

Thank you, scan date is 31/5 x

Ja92fr · 29/09/2023 11:12

Scan date 30/05, i was told the other day it had been allocated to dm, so phoned this morning & the decision was made yesterday and my son has been awarded, the long wait is finally over! Honestly thought he'd be declined as i submitted no evidence other then the form done by myself and a letter from the SALT team (who hes been with for 3 years) stating he isn't progressing as much as they hoped as they cannot get him to sit still for longer then 10 minutes, Hopefully not much longer for everyone else

I've had one that actually laughed down the phone at me which was humiliating!
It has put me at ease a little but I'm still on edge over it all, the stress of it all is something I never thought of when we applied. Hopefully they'll have already added your request to your notes but this gentleman said some don't have the mobile access so it is hit and miss.

Today is busy celebrating our sons 1st heartiversary so hopefully I can now forget about it for today 🤞 xx

Chels2020 · 29/09/2023 11:30

I’m tempted to phone now to see if my sons claim went to dm scan date 31/05 but Darnt incase it’s bad news x

Mummyof6love · 29/09/2023 11:34

I agree, i didn’t think I would get this stressed about it. Will keep all posted.
I can only assume what a heartiversary is as we have a diaversary for my little type 1 diabetic. Enjoy your celebrations…I bet it’s been one hell of a year! Xxx

First open heart surgery and the biggest fight we've had.
He's successfully got through his second open heart and is still fighting to be here ❤️
Thank you so much I hope this weekend isn't too stressful waiting xxx

Jneill2021 · 29/09/2023 12:02

Hi all just wondering if anyone has heard back about Coc for dates beginning of May x

Mae1999 · 29/09/2023 12:44

Just got off the phone my son has been declined wouldn’t give reasons over the phone just said to wait for a letter stating the reasons and it will have information on how to appeal the decision made honestly really disheartening he needs a lot of night and day care due to respiratory problems causing him to have random blue spells and stopping breathing of a night which he is Medicated for he is only 19 months old but also has global developmental delay and has been put on the asd pathway currently been observed under community pead and getting assessed in a nursery setting coeliac disease and under dietitian for multiple allergies and under salt for still not talking and not been able to swallow unless all foods are puréed he also does not sleep longer than 3 hours a night

Scan date 31/05 middle rate care back payment on way xxx

Lilypad22 · 29/09/2023 12:58

Hi, I’ve been lurking on this thread for a while now, scan date 31/05

Called the other day and it still hadn’t been passed to a DM, I’m starting to get a bit disheartened with the whole thing. My little girl has a rare condition and needs medication to live and constant supervision as any illness or injury could cause her body to go into shock and could even kill her if I don’t adjust her medication accordingly. I’ve even had to be trained to administer an emergency injection should the worst arise. She’s 18 months old and I’ve heard it’s hard to get DLA at that age because they need lots of care and supervision anyway
