CoffeeLover90 · 11/10/2023 19:21

Best of luck to those still waiting ❤️

xxAmy · 11/10/2023 20:21

Awarded today. Was a renewal not due for another 4 weeks. Iv seen posts on other groups that they are on top of renewals lately. Pleased with the award. Good look everyone!

Mumofboysteamginge · 12/10/2023 11:47

Aww fab! When did you send renewal and how did you find out? Letter? My sons due on 9th November x

xxAmy · 12/10/2023 13:53

@Mumofboysteamginge sent in 27th July, had a text message to tell me I then rang and was told over the phone, will get a letter in approx 2 weeks. I didn’t know the DLA sent out text messages. Have you rang for an update? 🤞🏻

Mumof5xo · 12/10/2023 17:13

Does anyone have any advice about how long UC take to back pay changed everything on the 25th September they contacted me on 28th saying was with the UC decison makers but not heard nothing since been over 2 week x

Mumofboysteamginge · 12/10/2023 19:05

Yeah I had a text message when he was Originally awarded which was may this year backdated to November 🤦‍♀️ awarded 1 year but didn’t get the renewal forms, I called for them in September and sent them back at end of September about a week after they arrived. I sent them back recorded delivery and they said that they had received them and were being processed that was last Friday. This waiting is awful. Luckily I had a letter from school and camhs letter. He was being treated for ptsd however they are now referring him for asc and adhd assessments, the wait is sooo long for those 🥹 I’m hoping for the award to be at least for two years this time. As mums we just do what we do for our children but writing it out on paper makes me realise just how much he struggles. Xxx

Hi, I informed them on 30/09 - I know someone on this one had it sorted around 2 weeks - believe it was @Chels2020 - I had a response on 09/10 confirming it will be backdated and they will calculate the amount 'as soon as possible' anywhere from a week to a year with them, I'd imagine.
Will update here with any progress.

Wow a year well that's draining I message the case worker everyday on my journal so hopefully they just get annoyed and sort it😆 I originally put two claim forms in but was only awarded for one so had to send a MR so the wait on that's terrible aswell x

I'm sorry, a year was me being sarcastic. I forget tone can't come across in a message 😁
My ex mother in law had waited for back payment for about 3 months, unrelated to DLA was housing, I raised a complaint form and she had in the bank within the week. That was a couple of years, can't find the form online now but I'd see citizen's advice if I needed to.
They don't give any timescale, they'll say there is none if asked.
At least I know the changes are taking place om next statement, I'll escalate the rest if needed. Fingers crossed not.
Best of luck, hope you're not waiting long x

When I asked they did say no time scale tbh she said was looked at in the date they go in so I think it depends how busy they are with back pay at the moment best of luck to you they really do take there time that's for sure my statement don't go up for over a week so not sure if the additional elements are added on yet x

Ask if they will be on future statements, they were able to confirm mine will be. My statements almost 2 weeks away so I'll let you know x

Lovely17 · 13/10/2023 11:22

@SGN04 any news for you yet ? X

SGN04 · 13/10/2023 11:34

@Lovely17 nope nothing yet, I’ve called 4 times and been cut off every time before it starts ringing so no luck, I’m trying to call to see if they’ve received his additional information. I will try again one or 2 more times in an hour or so I don’t suppose I’ll have any luck but I’ll try. If I get no responses I will try again at 9am Monday as that will be a week since I sent of singed delivery information that only takes 3 days and I will be on week 16. Obviously I’m aware there taking up to 19 weeks now but I will call once again today then Monday 9am if no response ! I haven’t received a letter or text since 25th of September either ! So very little communication at the moment .. ! X

Lovely17 · 13/10/2023 12:26

@SGN04 ahh I called Tuesday but not going to bother ringing anymore, it’s causing so much stress. Hopefully they would’ve added it to your little ones claim by now 🤞

im gonna tag you in a chat I’ve been on, loads of people saying they’ve been awarded 13/06 ish times so getting closer to us. X

Jolouise1986 · 13/10/2023 15:08

@Lovely17 ooooh I'm 15/06 fingers crossed hahaha can you tag me lol

Lovely17 · 13/10/2023 16:35
