Same date as me hope won't be too long

@CoffeeLover90 @Mumofkidsx3

my statement is available today and the change has been added for both boys no back payment so you maybe right that will be separate xx

I got my uc statement today, they’ve added disability element for both boys and removed benefit cap but they haven’t added carers element or responded to my journal requests

AnnieSweet · 08/10/2023 10:57

Hi all, this is my first post :) I called DLA end of July regarding a Change of circumstance for my son. They received forms on 21st August. My son has now turned 16 and I have started a pip claim for him. I’m told he will continue to receive DLA until a pip decision is made. Will they still honour these changes for DLA even though a pip claim has been started? Thanks

xxAmy · 09/10/2023 10:14

Renewal is with DM 🤞🏻🤞🏻
scan date 27th July, current claim ends November 9th

CoffeeLover90 · 09/10/2023 13:00

Chels2020 · 05/10/2023 12:38

@CoffeeLover90 my uc back payment is coming Monday :) x

I've only just got the letter to say they accept my reasons for declaring changes late and back pay will be calculated.
I'm pleased the wait is over but I still feel an undercurrent of anxiety. I think it hasn't actually sunk in yet.

CoffeeLover90 · 09/10/2023 13:01

I came onto ask, does anyone know if I should inform school of his award? His nursery had said they'd need to be notified as there was funding they could have applied for.

SGN04 · 09/10/2023 13:24

Hi all I’m 15 weeks on Thursday scan date 29/06 , what’s everyone doing to pass time thinking about it !? I’ve just sent off his additional information 2 very crucial pieces of evidence and done them signed for 3day max arrival so no reason for it to not get to them on time for DM to get it with the other information!

Lollypops88 · 09/10/2023 13:31

@SGN04 near enough the same date good luck im sure they will see your info has been uploaded and scanned 🤞 so the DM can see it 🌈🌈🌈 i get more anxious when i phone

Mumofboysteamginge · 09/10/2023 14:32

Your the same renewal date as me xxxx

SGN04 · 09/10/2023 16:06

Ah nice when’s your scan date ? && fingers crossed, don’t see why it wouldn’t , I think I’ll give them a call next week Thursday at 16 weeks to confirm they have received it and when it will be going to a DM ! I know if I call this week I’ll be told another week or 2 so I’m
better of calling next Thursday to make sure they have it and hopefully they’ll give me an idea of when it will be going to dm! ❤️

SGN04 · 09/10/2023 16:06

@Lollypops88

xxAmy · 09/10/2023 16:15

@Mumofboysteamginge I’m finding the renewal wait more painful than the original wait!

Lollypops88 · 09/10/2023 16:29

@SGN04 mine isnt far behind yours 3rd of june and i rang for my form on the 25th of may so they stamped it to be back dated from then .... i cant beleive how long it takes at the moment tho my other sons took 20 something weeks but thats because they wrote of to the docs and they didnt give the info till 2 weeks later, fingers x my daughters is a little more straight forward

SGN04 · 09/10/2023 16:39

3rd of June ? Aren’t you now pushing on 19 weeks? && yeah that’s understandable then , if it’s 3rd of June I’d definitely get in contact with them, unless you meant July 3rd they received it ? I’m 15 weeks on Thursday it’s definitely dragging now , but I’ll give them a call next week Thursday see if they got the extra information! ❤️

Lollypops88 · 09/10/2023 18:07

@SGN04 3rd of july good luck 🌈 ring at 9am on the dot and ur wait should be alot less !!

SGN04 · 09/10/2023 18:12

@Lollypops88 ah only a few days apart! hopefully we get a decision the end of the month/ beginning on November ! Fingers crossed we hear soon! Finding it hard not to think about it now where it’s been so long but the more you think about it, the longer it seems ! Craziness! I just hope when I call nearing the 17 week mark that they don’t tell me it’s pushing on 18-19 weeks because I have a funny feeling that might be the case!

Lollypops88 · 09/10/2023 18:16

@SGN04 positive vibes even if u get awarded lower or not what u feel u need u will still get that money even if u do a MR i beleave but fingers x they get them done quickly and whats deserved, its a hard one coz i think every single little one is different and applying for different reasons 🤞 🌈🌈🌟

SGN04 · 09/10/2023 19:34

100% , it’s definitely a tricky one with the rate like you said every child is different and I can imagine it’s tough for them to decipher between the rate stages but like you said have positive vibes not long left now! 🤞🏻

Lovely17 · 10/10/2023 09:29

Hi. I’m 16 weeks today! Full of anxiety now, I just want to know the outcome. It’s probably not worth ringing them is it? 😞 wish it would hurry up. Good luck to everyone x

Lovely17 · 10/10/2023 14:08

Hi. I’ve just been on the phone to them for an update, not with dm yet & apparently new claims are taking minimum 19 weeks 😭 another few weeks to go then x

SGN04 · 10/10/2023 15:11

@Lovely17 just knew that would happen I’m 15 weeks Thursday , if you scroll up a couple messages above I said I have a funny feeling there going to say 18-19 weeks when I call at 16 weeks .. I just Knew .. the process they have going on at the moment is clearly not working. I completely understand there’s thousands of applications and assessments to go through etc however there’s got to be a different way for this to work if it’s really becoming that much of a struggle for them to get them done in the stated time frame .. well looks like another month until I get a decision I suppose .. unbelievable ! Hope you hear from them soon, the wait is horrendous. Xx

Mumofboysteamginge · 10/10/2023 16:20

Absolutely!! My boy only has a 12 month award so feels like we litterally finished one and started the renewal! X

Lovely17 · 10/10/2023 16:47

@SGN04 it really doesn’t surprise me the way that the dwp are, they are really shit with timescales. Well, we will just have to stick it out & hopefully end up with the outcome that we want & need for our little ones… if not then I’m going all out for this MR!! Haha my anxiety is through the roof! Xx

Lovely17 · 10/10/2023 16:48

@Mumofboysteamginge this must be so hard for you, when it comes to things like this 12 months really goes quickly. Hope you get the outcome you want again fingers crossed 🤞 for you x

SGN04 · 11/10/2023 10:44

@Lovely17 i know it’s just ridiculous now .. they want to state 12 weeks then 17 now 18/19 , just give one standard average time , it will lower call volumes as well.. the last few weeks are always the longest, it’s just the unknown that gives me the anxiety and minimal communication as well.. like you said can only hope for the best and see it through until the DM gives the results.. I have my fingers crossed for all of you and your little ones ❤️
