Afternoon all, I’m 14 weeks today scan date 29/06 I called last week Friday dead on 9am and was on hold for 20 mins , she stated that there taking 17 weeks on average for claims so I’ll be calling back for an update on 26th.. does anyone know if I send off some additional information if it will take longer for a decision to be made or shouldn’t it affect the decision being made around the 17/18 week mark? X

Brilliant news 😁
I got a message today to say it's been sent to a decision makers and changes will be added to my next statement, which is about 2 weeks away.
Not chasing back payments, will give it about 2 months before following it up

RainbowRaine · 05/10/2023 11:05

If you send it recorded, it'll reach them before it goes to decision maker

SGN04 · 05/10/2023 17:08

@CoffeeLover90 thank you! I’ll get that sent off tomorrow to be on the safe side , hoping it gets to the right department so all his paper work is together when the DM looks at it all !

RainbowRaine · 06/10/2023 15:50

on hold now

Retta86 · 06/10/2023 15:57

@SGN04 im the same week as u my scan date was the 3rd of july im on week 14 i wont ring for another 2 weeks fingers x everyone 🌈🤞

SGN04 · 06/10/2023 18:12

@Lollypops88 ah fingers crossed then, you could try give a call in 2 weeks just see what they say? I called week 13 and got told another 4 weeks until it goes to a DM so I think I’ll hold till 26th which will be exactly 17 weeks and see what they say then ! The longest 14 weeks of my life honestly , just the unknown is horrible , haven’t been asked for any additional information so I’m hoping that’s a good sign! Like you said fingers crossed we here something in the next 2/3 weeks! 🤞🏻X

Mumto2oneofeach · 06/10/2023 18:17

Thank you so much 😊 will get it posted 1st class tomorrow fingers crossed this helps towards my sons claim!
its so annoying that adhd and autism isn’t recognised enough I’ve had issues with the school behavioural reports and constant dojos! Never ending! x

Lollypops88 · 06/10/2023 18:21

SGN04 i recently done mysons and his took 20 something weeks was a releif when he got awarded ! Sending positive vibes to u all, i darnt ring to see what time frame they give some where really helpful previously but some not so much i think it stressed me out more ringing than just leaving it at the min because time frames vary especially if they write off to doctors or other health professions for additional info
Hopefully that doesnt happen this time with my daughter 🌈🌈🌈

Mine is autistic too and it is unbearable feeling like no one listens. I was lucky enough that he was in great nursery and now school, very understanding and supportive.
I cannot say the same for health professionals.
But he was still awarded middle rate care, reports from professional weren't very detailed. So fingers crossed you get the results he needs too

Mumto2oneofeach · 06/10/2023 20:03

Thank you for your kind words! ☺️
fingers crossed everyone has a positive outcome for the little ones 🤞❤️
I’m nearly on week 14 scan date 5/07 was told at least 17-18 week wait that was after waiting 2hours on hold! Honestly wouldn’t bother ringing it made my anxiety worse I just haven’t been thinking about it this last week and feel so much better! The days have gone faster getting closer and closer to a decision. X

Lollypops88 · 06/10/2023 21:47

@Mumto2oneofeach my son is nearly 14 i have taken him to health professionals and the school he is im side lined him i now have a family support worker who has spent some time with him and she told me she thinks hes autistic and adhd, i nearly cried because everyone has never been supportive of this even tho its obvious to me he has always been put under and umbrella of global learning depsite masking it and then having complete meltdowns when hes come home it was nice to be validated and feel some one was listening

Jolouise1986 · 07/10/2023 10:44

@Mumto2oneofeach I had the same my son has been diagnosed with severe adhd and school eventually stepped up and now has an educational psychologist and an ehcp.hes now on medication which we didn't really want to do but we was at a loss and effecting us mentally.i never realised because he has an ehcp I could of been claiming this for last year 🤦‍♀️🤣

Jolouise1986 · 07/10/2023 10:46

Oh no I'm now in.a panic I have sent some more evidence off my sons official diagnosis letter and medication and I've wrote post handling site but missed the b at end I'm hoping it will still get to the right place 😒
