@Chels2020 oh fab I still haven’t had a response on my journal x

Make sure you have updated the change of circumstances under the children themselves rather than journal message it gets sorted quicker goes straight to verify then on journal ask for back payment xx

I did both on Saturday. I believe they update changes quite quickly, so future statements will have the added elements but its the back date which takes forever.
Although, I declared child care payments last month for the first time and within a week I had a response and the additional payment back to my account.
So, we'll see. Not expected an answer anytime soon

Yeah we’ll we shall se the letter I got states:

The decision maker has decided that special circumstance apply and your universal credit will be adjusted from the date of the change (this is the date I rang dla) then it goes on to say changes in your universal credit entitlement will be shown in your next monthly statement which is obviously tomorrow so I really can’t see if happening that quick xx

Lovely17 · 04/10/2023 14:16

Hi @Jolouise1986 I’m 15weeks 2 days now. I’m sick of waiting too. My last text was 19/09 just saying they’re still looking at child’s claim we will write to you.. the most anxious wait ever x

I think (I might be wrong) the back payment comes when they add the letter that says we owe you £xx
But that does definitely sound like the elements will be on your next statement.

Lovely17 · 05/10/2023 07:07

@Mumof2boys11 my scan date is 20/06 so probably still got a few weeks to go yet 😔 just hope she gets something x

Mumof2boys11 · 05/10/2023 07:18

@Lovely17 fingers crossed it comes quicker for you and by end of Oct your have a decision! 🥰

Can anyone advise on UC?
Me and my partner have never claimed it. Between us we probably earn 55k a year. Are we entitled now Little one is on hrc lrm or are we not? I'm so confused with it.

Thank you and good luck to you all today hope you hear back today 🙏 x

CoffeeLover90 · 05/10/2023 07:28

@Mumof2boys11 I use entitledto.co.uk
Put in your circumstances, include any child care costs. For the caring part put yes, so carers element is included, it then tells you how much uc you can claim.
I'm on 28k, single household and still get a top up, even without dla

Lovely17 · 05/10/2023 10:05

@Mumof2boys11 thank you 😊.. hope you get things sorted with UC as well x

RainbowRaine · 05/10/2023 10:43

RainbowRaine · 05/10/2023 11:05

Yes it a new claim, do I call them again today or just wait?

Mob12245 · 05/10/2023 11:07

Hi, I'm on universal credit and on the 3rd of each month I have to accept commitments, I don't have any to accept this month, does anyone know if that's anything to do with dla?
