DLA wait times Part 13

Mines the 26/05 and haven’t head anything yet I rang on Friday last week and got told nobody had even looked at it was 18 weeks but she made a comment that I hadn’t sent in supporting medical evidence so I first class posted 2 letters to say he had been accepted for a assessment at CAMHs so I’m not feeling hopeful x

Hi , first time posting , but I have been following for a while, applied for dla for my 15 year old who has adhd my form had to be back by the 12th May, I sent it on the 5th and my scan date is the 16th May , just received a call to ask why it was delayed, it was probably stuck in their post room waiting to be scanned , but because I have not proof it was sent when it was ,my fault just sent it as quick as I could 🙄didn't think to send it tracked. if it is successful it will be awarded from the scan date, they said I should here within 7 to 10 days, the girl was really nice on the phone, do you think it is with a case manager now then.

Quite possibley did they ask you anything else ? Sounds like they made a decision but confusion with dates ?

Hi, no she didnt ask anything else, just said if there was a claim it would only be backdated to 16th may, then said I should hear 7 -10 days x

Scan date 17/05 rang today for update, and got told il hear back next week.
Bit worried as the cams referel got sent back due to teachers not seeing her ADHD. School are going to resend it of in December again. Anyone else had this issue or got DLA without the input of school?

Also school are doing mind work with her in school?

It goes off care needs so usually people can get seated just by filling forms out and no evidence. However obviously having some evidence can help. Fingers crossed for you

I’ve just been had payment in my bank I take it is from them as it says dwp dla they received my letters on the 26/05 and I’ve had payment of 1802. Does anybody know how to break this down. But also what a relief!

My scan date was the 24th may, hopefully we’re not far off you!
I can’t help with the amounts unfortunately sorry, I don’t even know what they are myself 😂

Hi ladies,
I’ve been following for a while, but am yet to post, I originally had to send my Dla forms back by 05/05 but I work full time and am dealing with 3 little ones, one of which has ADHD, ASD and demand avoidance all diagnosis. Also have an ECHP in place, evidence m was sent seperate as this was granted over the holidays. Scan date of 16/05, literally no word from them, cannot seem to get through on the phone and due to working full time I’m so limited on when I can call :( getting anxious now any ideas on next steps!? Thanks

Seems like it could be any time. I think it’s best to call bang on 9am to get through fairly quickly. Hang on in there xx

Not much evidence just letters from camhs to say he had been accepted for assessment, however I only posted those on Tuesday so I doubt they had even looked! And I have a family support worker who wrote a paragraph to say how difficult his behavior is and the extra support he needs. Does anybody know the process for uc? I haven’t had the best dealings with them and they have messed me about so much.
