DLA wait times Part 13

@Sskanf they called me because my younger boys claim was decided but written my bank details wrong🤦‍♀️ so I called them the next day to ask about older son that’s how I found out about Dm

Hi, sent my evidence off on Friday for the MR, sent by special delivery, has anyone had this before? I'm panicking now they've not received it and it's gone to the wrong address cause there's no photo proof lol and also I think 4.30 is a bit of an odd time to have been delivered.. now when I check it's saying tracking unavailable?

@Jaymum12 they should have sent it all to the high school, maybe ask the high school for a copy of what the primary school sent. My boy was in yr 6 in 2020 so missed the whole year really but it took three years for the ASD diagnosis, started in year 5, he got in year 7. He has medical health problems as well with his epilepsy so I don’t really understand what the delay is with the DLA DM, he requires almost constant attention, and I sent educationl psych report, SALT, the physio reports, epilepsy consultant letters and diagnosis, plus a statement from school and proof that he has assisted transport to school. 🤷‍♀️ still on hold

Hi All - Long time lurker.

Claim date 26/05/2023 - Just managed to get through and been advised that my daughter's claim is with a decision maker - This should have been a renewal but due to surgery, I didn't get the claim back in time, so hoping it is a relatively straight forward decision. Good luck for everyone this week.

@Givemeallthetattoos keep checking the Royal Mail website, I had problems with it last wk with a special delivery. Can you not call DWP and ask if they have received it and just explain what the Mail tracking says?

@Givemeallthetattoos try not to panic it may just be the tracking system updating, I’ve had that before with Royal Mail.

Gosh I can't believe how long it's taking. My scan date was July 18th so it's going to be ages yet 😭 was really hoping to have it sorted by half term so I could pay for holiday club because he's really struggling with the transition back to school after the holidays.

@Mumofkidsx3 have you managed to get through? From what I’ve read even though they say it’s with the DM it doesn’t mean they’re actually looking at our claims, I think they have a pile to go through so I’m trying not to panic yet, mines been with DM since last wk x

@allofthelove my boy has same diagnosis, his decision is due any day I’ll let you know how we get on

Omg just got through and the stupid woman said hello and then switch me onto some crazy hold thing that sounded like old dial up internet 😡 36 mins wasted

Similar scan date 11th July! The wait is horrible, my little boys had the same trouble going back to school. Have u had any messages, I got a txt last week saying they are still looking at my claim

I called today after waiting 20 weeks and still not with a DM . Tried to put in a complaint and he said that he will flag it as urgent and to be dealt with in the next 2 day hopefully 🙏🏼. I am not holding my breathe though as they seem to tell me something different every time I ring. I am really happy for everyone who has been awarded just find the whole process very frustrating

Finally after waiting so long they made a descision Friday just called and asked. Scan date 15/5

So anyone that's been waiting so long or even may end up waiting longer then most try not to worry it really is different with every DM.
It took mine 18 weeks and 5 days but some have had it sooner.

Hi, new on here. My scan date is 25/7 so I still have quite a wait. I had to ring a few weeks back as I never received a letter or txt, but he told me my scan date over the phone and I've received two letters since then saying they are still dealing with my claim. My son was officially diagnosed with autism last November. I never knew I could claim for him till a friend told me! He is 9 next month but I still have to do an awful lot for him. He has major sensory issues and struggles in many areas. His just had the ADHD test done...just waiting to hear back about that. I sent off his full autism report as well as speech and language reports, and his school lesson plans etc. I'm hoping this is enough.
Going off all the dates on here I should hear around the end of November...but I'm going to expect around December so I don't drive myself mad!!! Ha.

@Mumof5xo I was hold for 36 mins only for them to answer and put me on fax machine mode or somthing 🤦‍♀️ now been on hold for 50 mins after several try’s and engaged
