I see thread 12 is full. Is there a Part 13 already, or shall we make this it?

Hey everyone
My scan date is the 3rd of july looks like a long wait for me if they are just getting to the end of may.... keep positive guys 🌈🌈🌈

Loup19863 · 24/09/2023 12:13

@Mumofkidsx3 Let me know how you get on calling tomorrow. I’m going to leave ringing tomorrow as it’s my other child’s birthday and I know it’ll ruin it for me if I ring and we’re declined 😄 if I haven’t heard by Tuesday which will be exactly 18wks I’ll call then, mine is with DM too x

My scan date is 16/06 so still a few weeks to wait. It will be exactly 15 weeks this Friday but going off others not expecting to hear until mid October! Hope everyone gets a good outcome and hoping to see some June scan dates get some news soon

Mumof2boys11 · 24/09/2023 14:13

I had a message to say still looking at claim 7th Aug and another 30th August. 17 weeks Friday coming. Hoping to hear soon 😫 very stressful wait, and nervous my little one will be declined. I've sent as much evidence as I can. Hopefully we all don't have much longer of a wait x

Mumof5xo · 24/09/2023 07:30

Hi I've been following this thread for some time now I've sent of 2 claims for 2 of my sons which are 3 and 5 can date is 25th May I rang last Monday and was told waiting times are now 19 week and to not ring till October regardless of this im going to ring Monday but is there anyone else with the 25th May that have been awarded both my children are very different but both are on waiting lists to be seen for asd, adhd wasn't much evidence and we are on waiting lists for everything at moment the wait is dreadful🤦‍♀️ im just getting nervous now that its been declined I didn't send much evidence just very detailed about how they are day to day and also school and nursery completed abit for there section I think im just going into panic mode now😔

I’ve not been awarded (yet 🤞) but I’m also 25th May scan date. Feeling really anxious now. A lot of people with scan date 22nd and 23rd May seem to have their decision. I’m hoping we’ll hear by the end of next week - if not I’m going to chase up.

Celestiaxo · 24/09/2023 14:23

Mine went to dm on Thursday and we’re 25/5 scan date! Hopefully we all hear something this week

Jaymum12 · 24/09/2023 14:38

Fingers crossed for you. I’m now worrying whether I’ve filled the form in correctly, sent off enough evidence etc. I sent off his Autism report that had statements from the autism specialist, school and myself. The report gives my son a diagnosis of Autism - is this enough evidence?

PookyBoo77 · 24/09/2023 15:29

Scan date 02/06, will be 17 weeks on Friday. Really hoping to see some June date decisions coming through this week. Fingers crossed 🤞 certainly feeling more nervous as time progresses.

Mumof5xo · 24/09/2023 15:44

Thank you for all the replys im going to ring first thing tomorrow morning it is my sons birthday tomorrow so was gonna leave it but I'm to impatient to wait I will update what is said once I've managed to get through normally 2 hour wait🤦‍♀️🤣 and good luck to everyone else x

Mumof2boys11 · 24/09/2023 17:24

@PookyBoo77 same scan date as Me, fingers are crossed for you!! The wait has been so long I'm hoping we hear this week! Will keep you updated 😀

Mumof2boys11 · 24/09/2023 17:28

@Jaymum12
I think if should be enough but I am also worried I have not! I think if the diagnosis is recent then it represents the now of care needs so is evidence.
I sent off, Regulation plan & learning passport a note from school from class teacher stating behaviours, adhd diagnosis report, adhd follow up letters from how much son was in clinic and what they observed and states quite alot on there like high absconding risk. 30% below his peers, unsafe by the road sticking his foot out- locks on my window because he climbs out, in clinic he was climbing there windows. So I'm hoping it's enough!!...
Good luck 🥰

PookyBoo77 · 24/09/2023 20:14

@Mumof2boys11 fingers crossed for you too. I will update as soon as I hear anything though I’m not expecting to hear anything for a few more weeks yet :(

Lollypops88 · 24/09/2023 20:14

Hey guys if ur trying to get through on the phone if u ring 9 on the dot normally u get through quicker i beleive some 1 said on here before

MinnieTruck · 24/09/2023 20:54

Yep when I call 9 on the dot I usually get through with 10-15 mins. I call whilst I’m getting ready so it’s very handy

Mumofkidsx3 · 24/09/2023 22:04

@Loup19863 happy birthday 🥳 to your little one. I will let you know we will be exactly 18 weeks on Thursday.

Mumofkidsx3 · 24/09/2023 22:08

@Mumof2boys11 we have window locks on also so they only open a couple inches as my middle boy is highly unpredictable. Never a dull mom that’s for sure 😅

Mumofkidsx3 · 24/09/2023 22:42

@Jaymum12 for my 9 year old I had the educational psychologist report , ASD and ADHD Diagnosis, reports from the ASD pathway. Schools statement about his needs and their interventions for him plus the monthly target sheets from school. I went in to great detail when answering the questions and gave a separate sheet with explanations for my answers where appropriate. As long as your evidence supports you answers and shows your child has extra needs than a typical child of that age then I don’t think there’s anything else you could have done.

Mummyof6love · 24/09/2023 22:50

I’ll be 17 weeks on Thursday and I’m convinced it’s been rejected. I’ve had 1 letter since sending forms off and that was the confirmation letter with scan date and that’s all. Phoned once to be told 19 weeks. I was atleast expecting another letter. No text as didn’t add mobile number. ASD pathway for 5year old son. Only sent peads letter who agrees to ASD diagnosis but referred for ADOS assessment (takes forever!) and SALT report. School were useless and only put on the form about his speech needs. (Teacher don’t like me) I’m now over thinking what I put on the form and thinking I’d didnt write enough. It’s hard to put into words the struggles and help required. Hoping for some June answers this week. Best of luck all. Xx

Mumofkidsx3 · 24/09/2023 23:01

Just wanted to write here in case anyone reading who has not sent off forms yet. Most job centres have a family support person (normally a charity) that has knowledge about filling out DLA forms and can really help a lot. My local job centre offered this to me (after I lost my job due to having to leave work too often to go to my son that has epilepsy), but anyone can ring up and ask about help with DLA forms (job centre or citizen advice), made a world of difference to me. 🥰
