DLA wait times Part 13

anyone Still waiting for a decision from scan date 23/5
keep seeing a lot being accepted this week on this date, I’m to scared to ring so just going to wait it out but thinking maybe might not be good news for me

Same scan date. It got given to DM on Monday, got a text on Tuesday saying they are still dealing with my claim. Haven't heard anything since, bit worried we have been turnt down as thought we would have had a decision by now x

I’m on hold now xx mine went dm Tuesday seeing if their an update x

Got through with one min remaining still no descion so I’m not going to call again it’s just a wait game I feel like I’m stressing them and myself out lol xx

Like me i was told to call back on Friday to see if the 2nd letter had been scanned into the system, I hope it has been and close to a decision as my anxiety and depression can't take much more of this ......

I know I feel like I’m not with it where I’m stressing so much 🙈😩 I have had a letter saying accepted for asd assessment but I haven’t added that in as come this week and I don’t want to delay any more. I sent the forms the school filled out for her referal for assessment what had lots detail in I hope it’s enough so long wait I forgot about it for a bit until now so close and with a dm it’s so hard the extra would really help as she really suffers socially and loves swimming so was thinking about swimming lessons etc it’s hard to find places to go that she likes as she hates anything busy eg soft play farms she would rather walk around a huge green space xx

So we've had the UC updated, however struggling to understand carers allowance and carers element. What's the difference, who's entitled? And how do you get it added?

We have also requested that UC is backdated to DLA award date on the journal but no reply to it. Should we be doing anything else?

Been following thread really hope all the ones scanned for June get their positive responses.

I received a txt message few days back saying we are still looking at your claim and also revived a letter does this mean it's with a DM?

Managed to get through to claim line this morning . Scan date 30/05 - was told 19 week wait and not to call back until the 16th October 🤡 he mentioned he was just going to look at the date on which I should call. I’m not sure he checked if with DM or not .. craziness

I’ve just rang regarding a coc 24/03 was told still in the pile not with dm yet but the guy was really helpful and said that they have got a team working weekends to get through the pile and the best time to call is a Monday after overtime if this is useful to anyone he told me to phone back 02/10 which is the 28 week mark

I think the reason behind this is because they seem to be getting looked at at 17 week but then can take up to 2 week with DM! Fingers crossed we aren’t waiting long, my scan date is the day after yours 🤞🏼

Here’s the information on what to do in regards to UC

Carers element is similar to the disabled child element and gets added to your UC claim before any deductions. You request this via a change of circumstances.

To claim carers allowance you have to be earning less than £139 a week. I personally don’t think there’s any point in claiming carers allowance as it gets deducted in full by UC. So you’re not getting anymore money, it just comes to you weekly and that’s it.

You’ll have to wait for a response on your journal. You can chase it up but they have to send it to the DM to get approved so can take a little while

No mines a change of circumstances I’ve two claims in at the moment the change is for my 3 year old who can not walk wheelchair user squiggles seat user inside the house that’s who I just rang for as I’m 26 weeks today and then I’ve a new claim 31/05 16 weeks now and not even bothered chasing this :) hope that help x

Scan date 23/5. With dm on 18/9, decision made 21/9.

I called up this morning and we have been awarded mrc and lrm. I am so relieved I could cry, this will really help my son. I was hoping for hrc as he can't even wipe himself at 8 and needs help during the day and night however I am grateful for what we have been given. Not sure how long the award is for, will have to wait for letter to come.
