I see thread 12 is full. Is there a Part 13 already, or shall we make this it?

I printed them off myself filled them in and sent them back.

Thanks, I got through just a minute ago - the form online is for new claims only. My renewal pack has been sent but 2nd class so it should be here this week hopefully.

1990shopefulftm · 18/09/2023 11:39

Does anyone know how long backpay generally takes? I forgot to ask when I spoke to them

Mumatherwhitsend · 18/09/2023 11:41

Mine was a new claim amd I got the paper work from dla child gov website. Never asked for it just printed and sent back once filled in.

Mumatherwhitsend · 18/09/2023 11:42

My scan date is the 20/5 and the chap told me this morning another 3 weeks not with DM yet. Advised I don't call back for 3 weeks. Telling everyone different stories.

Rebbit2013 · 18/09/2023 11:57

I finally got through- still with DM has been since the 12/09…. Scan date 18/05, is it looking unlikely my son will be awarded at this point???? So fed up of all of this

Chazspence12 · 18/09/2023 13:06

I was awarded for my son Thursday does any one know how long it takes for 1st payment to reach your account xx

Stressedsoph1 · 18/09/2023 13:53

my eldests DLA claim ends December 28th. I have had the form for a week or so now and got nowhere with it because my mum passed away suddenly and I'm executor so lots to deal with alongside 2 kids who are now massively distressed at losing their nan.
how are renewals going currently, I'm sure I read previously that they aren't getting seen much before the renewal date. my question is will getting it back by mid October be ok?

leeannmarston · 18/09/2023 13:56

Hi everyone,

Scan date was 23/05. Letter said 15 week wait. I called on 15 weeks and said looking at 17 weeks still waiting to be allocated to a DM. Called today on 17 weeks and the nice gentleman said currently they are on 19 week time frame, however my sons claim has been allocated to a DM today. So hopefully won't be too much longer until a decision is made. I feel like crying, I just hope my little boy gets what he deserves as it will help me so much with all the extra things I have to pay for.

Good luck everyone x

Thank you! Will keep everyone updated. We will all get what our children deserve, just nerve-wracking waiting x

trace34567 · 18/09/2023 15:33

currently on phone hold for1 hour and 15 minutes minutes to see whats going on with my claim for my son Claims are currently taking 19 weeks before going to decision maker and then 2 weeks after for decision on claim so all in all 21 weeks for new claims :( so for june 2nd looking at 27th October 2023

Chels2020 · 18/09/2023 15:41

I really hope they are over estimating to people because the wait is absolutely ridiculous now for these poor children I know people who are waiting on decisions to pay for private care etc it’s an absolute nightmare I actually think the wait is now worse then filling out the forms and that was bad enough. Fingers crossed for everyone

Totally agree with you it is unbelievable wait times

zoeybrooks45 · 18/09/2023 16:22

I 100% feel these call handlers are over estimating the wait for a decision to ease call volumes on the centre. As from poster being told unrealistic time frames receives a decision way before then, some even same evening after being told it hasn’t reached the DM yet. I think our best chance for estimate is to follow those being awarded which last week was the 18/05 on Friday. Therefore 19-24/05 are expecting a decision this week or with decision maker and will hear early next week.

dont be disheartened if you hear others hear or if you are told a timeframe of 19 weeks. I am sure we will be updated with good news on this thread this week and our children are awarded what they deserve. In the meantime I would advise to call if you have reached 17 weeks time frame and not before then otherwise they will fill you with anxiety even more.

Mom23milly · 18/09/2023 16:29

Still waiting for a decision. Been with DM since the 7th 😳
