I see thread 12 is full. Is there a Part 13 already, or shall we make this it?

Finally with a decision maker! Does anyone know how long this stage usually is? X

I ve seen people say it happened the same day and some people say it took 5 days.
I m 18/5 and not with a decision maker yet but since there's not really anyone professionals wise that they would need to call on my form I was told that should more likely make it up to 2 days for a batch once they had it.

Think they say up to 2 weeks with a DM but it can be quicker just depends if they need to talk to anyone etc or how fast they work. Good luck

Mumtotwoboys121 · 11/09/2023 13:19

They seem to be working a bit quicker now the summer holidays are over. Fingers crossed for everyone

i think its around 3-5 days but it might be worth calling Friday and asking, if you don’t hear nothing. They estimate 2 weeks but this might not be accurate

Luevzamum · 11/09/2023 13:32

My son already gets HRC and LRM but when reading through the criteria of HRM my son definitely fits into that category and so I was told by someone to make a change of circumstances and so that’s what im waiting for a decision on. Hopefully it’s good news but I won’t hold my breath. Sent in lots of supporting evidence for this which they received on 9th June. Seems like it’s going to be around Christmas time before I hear anything

Siennasafiya · 11/09/2023 13:36

@zoeybrooks45 thank you! :)

Hmcc123 · 11/09/2023 13:54

Any 20th onwards hearing yet?x

Mob12245 · 11/09/2023 14:25

Told this morning that dm couldn't make a decision and forms were sent to school for more evidence, probably looking at another 2 weeks

Oh that’s annoying 😞 did you send much evidence in? X

Mob12245 · 11/09/2023 16:15

No, just diagnosis and claim form filled in by citizens advice, hopefully school will be supportive

WorseDecision · 11/09/2023 16:39

Can I ask is it 4 weeks from receiving backdated money that you'll get the next lot of DLA please?

WorseDecision · 11/09/2023 16:40

Also they awarded my son 7 years award Grin which is a bit bizarre as my other son who will always require support even through adulthood & has a learning disability keeps getting 1-2 year awards 😂
Anyone know the logic of award lengths?

perimenopauseflushes · 11/09/2023 17:11

Hi, I’m new to the thread. We’re waiting to find out if my dd has been awarded, scan date was 8/6 so not expecting anything for a while.
The CAB completed the form for me and put “varies, see report” instead of yea or no for a lot of the answers. They wrote a report / statement based on diagnosing psychiatrists assessment (ADHD with recommendations to be assessed for autism and MH). Also attached the diagnosis report.
Does anyone know if they’ll accept this? Or should we have put yes / no? I’m worried now, but maybe they’d have asked for more evidence by now.

I m afraid no one reads the evidence until it gets to a decision maker so it d be at that point they d ask for more.

I think CAB are quite experienced when it comes to filling out DLA forms, so I don’t think they will do something incorrect when filling in, if that gives you some peace of mind, the wait is really long and has anyone question themselves including myself lol

Katierebekah92 · 11/09/2023 17:48

Hi, my scan date is 19/05. Does anyone know how much longer I may be waiting?

What was your scan date?

Mob12245 · 11/09/2023 18:04

27 June

perimenopauseflushes · 11/09/2023 18:09

Thankyou @1990shopefulftm and @zoeybrooks45, yes I’m sure the lady who helped was so experienced, the report was well written. It’s hard not to second guess yourself, I’m kind of relying on it which makes it worse.

Luevzamum · 11/09/2023 18:35

My scan date was 9/6/23 so a day later than yours did they tell you how long it would take at all? I had one letter saying 11 weeks, one saying 15 weeks and the lady on the phone said 26 weeks so I have no idea which ones true!!! Well obviously not the 11 week one as it’s passed that now 😵‍💫

Same as me someone else rung with the same date this morning and they said another 2 weeks but who knows I'm hoping it's sooner

Mumoftwins2007 · 11/09/2023 19:42

My scan date is 18/05. I’ve not heard anything yet but I see from others posts that we shouldn’t be too much longer . I’m hoping to hear by the end of next week.

Surely can’t be a new claim? People have been waiting months for new claims and it seems rather quick for near July to be done already when they haven’t even done people from 15 may :/ DM’s need to work at a similar rate! So many people are being pushed in front. Not saying it’s your fault, just annoyed at the way things are done in the dla teams

Celestiaxo · 11/09/2023 20:12

If a DM is at the end of June, they need to take the backlog off someone else so they can all be in the same month rather than just jump people.. seems odd to me they work like that.
