Hello
Our claim is up for renewal, does anyone know if they carry on paying you till theyve made a decision or if it stops on the day the claim ends?

Congrats on your award. I let uc know last week about dla and they have said its with a decision maker ain't heard anything since. Have you been back paid by uc already? I'm no longer on tax credits my partner works but we are on uc.

Hi does anyone know how long it takes to hear from universal credit once you tell them you have been awarded child dla?

Morning,
I let them know on 17/05 and it still hasn't been updated. Not sure if this is the norm or not though.

Thank you one of mine was Monday and it's there today!
Is there anyone who knows whether you await the extra £150 and it gets paid automatically please or is it the case that you have to get in touch with someone about it?

Hi, I got the £150 payment last week it was automatically put in, I did get a text a while ago about it being paid at some point and you don't need to contact them. Hope that helps.

Excellent news, one of our claims has been awarded. I woke this morning to a payment in my account. I don’t know the rate or anything until I get some sort of notification. Still don’t know about the other claim. Our scan date was 13th March

Bretty66 · 29/06/2023 11:31

My scan date was 11 April. Only on week 11
Looks like you are mostly getting decisions around the 15 week mark.

Have you rang about it? Our scan date was the day after yours and got our daughters on Monday and then my son's today both high care and son LRM. Good luck!
Also good luck to everyone else it's a long wait but worth it getting our kids what they are entitled to!

No, haven’t had chance to call today. Each time I call it takes a couple of hours to get through so I just didn’t have the time sadly. I’m just grateful my son has been awarded something. Unfortunately, he’s about to age out so we will have to go through the same in a couple of months to transfer him onto PIP 🤦‍♀️

clareykb · 29/06/2023 19:34

Any of the people who called and have been awarded also get a text? Finding it hard to call as am at work all day an figuring should hear soon. Scan date 17th of March so week 15 tomorrow

I haven’t received any text communication which is frustrating as I completed the form correctly so they can text! I’ve always had letters which I receive weeks after they’ve been written

Hei1234 · 29/06/2023 20:01

@clareykb I asked for a text but didn’t get one so I had to ring up x

Pk12 · 29/06/2023 21:26

Hi guys has anyone had a decision back off uc for the disability element and how long did it take? thanks

ItsBritneyBitchhhh · 29/06/2023 21:40

I have no clue about the disability element as my son hasn’t even been awarded yet!

I do think a lot of people must unwatch the DLA thread once they’ve been awarded. If you have Facebook then join the DLA Support Group on there! There’s so many people who have the answers to renewal’s, COC, new claims etc. You can also post anonymously so that your name isn’t exposed or anything:)

Mammalamma · 30/06/2023 14:21

Called today about the claim for my daughter, my son’s was granted on Wednesday. They have turned down the claim so I will try and fight it. They have ignored the supplementary evidence and have focused on the fact there are no school reports, both my children are home educated

ItsBritneyBitchhhh · 30/06/2023 18:19

@Mammalamma so sorry to hear that your daughters claim was declined. I know it can be tiring, but pls do fight if you think she’s entitled to it. Wishing you all the best🤞

I called this morning to check if my son’s additional evidence had been received. I sent it via the post box so wanted to make sure that it hadn’t been lost. It was scanned yesterday so that’s all good.

His claim will be on week 15 on Monday so I asked for an update whilst I was on the phone. Still isn’t with a decision maker yet and I was told that new claims are taking 15+ weeks. I hoped we’d get a decision by Wednesday latest but that won’t be the case. Anyone who has a scan date around the 20th of March, I think we’ll be looking at an extra 2 weeks (may depend on area though!)

I didn't recieve any texts or letters to say their still looking at the claim but when it came to my decision they did text me to say my daughter had been awarded

Ll333 · 03/07/2023 15:32

So I just called I’m at week 15 they have said it’s in the que to go to dm. I should hear by the end of next week it’s taking up to 15 weeks to get to the decision maker if that helps anyone.
