Oh that's great news. 2 of mine have diagnosis of autism and was a very long process for assessment. On the waiting list for my youngest now too. It is a huge struggle but will be worth it in the end to get them all the help they need 🙂
I hope you get the right support from school etc for her 🙂.

Autism is a struggle for us and the lil ones but I find as long as they stick to their very strict routine's life is a lot easier for them to understand and frustration and anxiety is usually kept to a minimum 🙂

I’m quite lucky that I contacted the GP about my concerns in April and by June DD had her initial assessment despite being told it was approximately a 9 month wait! She’ll have a referral to have a more in-depth assessment with a team who can legally diagnose her (if that makes sense!)

She only just turned 2 in May but I can already see that sticking to a firm routine causes her less stress and she finds it easy to carry on with her day. Thank you so much for your support, it’s really great that we can reach out to those on the thread who are going through similar situations as I sometimes find it quite difficult to deal with my daughter.

Wow I'm so glad they're seeing her nice and early a diagnosis helps so much 🙂. And starting school with a diagnosis will help her education ten fold. As they can get any provisions I'm place for her. (I know you probably don't want to think about her starting school yet but always best to plan ahead 🤣)

No you’re absolutely right!!

My DS is 14 months old (the one I’ve done the claim for) and he has a rare genetic disorder. He has such a massive care team and will certainly have a EHCP in place. He may need to go to a specialist school but we’ll only really know as he gets older.

It’s reassuring to know that DD will also start school with the help and support that she’ll need! I wouldn’t want either of them to struggle at all.

What week are you on now? Certainly give them a call on Monday morning, try not to worry!

My scan date is 10th March so my 15 week mark was Friday. I rang up on Thursday morning amd was told it was with the case manager and I should hear something very soon. 🤞
I thank the Lord for mumsnet amd these threads its keeping my anxiety down slightly. The closer you get the date the more negative thoughts start running through your head like what if I didn't send enough evidence or I put the wrong amounts and time taken to do every day activities.

Hi, my DS scan date was 9/03, I phoned Friday 22/06 told it was with the case manager. The lady I spoke to said we should hear something this week. It will be 16 weeks this Thursday for us.

Great News Just phoned up and was told my DS was awarded on 22nd back dated to 8th February. Scan date 10th March.
LRM MRC. I am so so happy 😊.

Just got off the phone to check whether the additional evidence I sent off has been received yet (didn’t do tracking😣).

Also asked about the status of the claim and it’s still in holding. Scan date is 20/03 and he said it should be with a decision maker sometime next week. If you’re a week before us then hopefully you have a decision made this week!!🤞

Today is 15 weeks for us. I called on Friday only to be told I would be looking at the second week of July. So frustrating and just makes me feel like we don’t have a chance 😔

Well The 12th was a Sunday so there'll be no scan dates then so if 10th have decisions you'll be one of the next as I'm 15 weeks tomorrow they said that should have something hopefully by end of the week so 🤞

I phoned this morning and she told me I was awarded on 22nd June and I should have the money in my account tomorrow as it takes 3-5 days 😊 I hope that helps.

Aw try not to lose hope. Tbh a lot of people seem to be saying different things so you may get a decision before that and I may get a decision later than what I was told!

Try not too worry and you can always give them a call for an update sometime next week maybe for a bit of reassurance. Keep us updated🤞
