@LmumL I'm gutted for you.. its really made me anxious for you, me and everyone waiting. Its so unfair that they call the school. NO ONE and I mean NO ONE ... BUT THE PARENTS know what we have to deal with day in day out in relation to our child's disability. Schools are very quick to be unsupportive and these forms do not supply money to families based on how their child demonstrates themselves at school. I have met many many families whereby they all state their children behave better at school and hide their feelings until at home where they explode.
Without being rude, you don't fart at work, but when you get home you do!! It's the same for kids, they are comfortable at home hence why we get the blunt end of our children at home.
It's so annoying.
Please appeal. Schools shouldn't tarnish any families potential to finances that the family NEED. It's not duty of care otherwise.

I wish they would send a text through when they’ve made a decision. Letters/payments take a while to arrive.

just wanted to update you guys my scan date was 1st of mar, phoned up today and was on hold for about 1 hr and 10mins spoke to a lovely lady, my son was awarded last night. so anyone waiting with that scan date give them a call for an update. Because yours might have been done already. I didn’t receive any text messages. I’m south east area. Good luck hope you all get what you and ur lil ones deserve 🥰

Ooh, I'm 8 March, hopefully we will have a decision in a week.

10 weeks yesterday got a Text to say still looking at claim last letter I got said upto 15 weeks for a decision

28th February scan date here. I just spoke to a fantastic lovely lady Carol, very nice person. She explained everything in detail to me.
My DD's Application will be a little delayed because she wasn't born in the UK so it can take a little longer. But she said it was with a DM on 5th June and the note on it says to be awarded after they get her reference number back. Which makes me so happy atleast i have a semi-answer. (Lol)
Now just the more waiting.

Anyone after 1st march, the wait won't be very long and i am hopeful we will all get what our DC's deserve.

I can see a payment pending, so it looked like the claim was awarded. Scan date 1 March.

That’s great peachllipop- I can’t see payments pending in my account so I’m keeping my fingers crossed it’s approved, don’t want to call again so will wait for a letter/payment x

I’m sympathetic. I haven’t had to wait as long as you of course, but my DD has had genetic testing and I’ve been waiting 9 months so far for those results!

Thanks peachlollipop, tbh we waited 7 years for a diagnosis so I suppose I should be patient, it’s more the anxiety of not knowing I think either way, I feel for you waiting 9 months for results! It’s hard isn’t it and this process certainly isn’t great, as a health professional myself I feel surely this process could be made easier x

Wow, that’s an incredibly long wait for a diagnosis. Must be so hard on you.

I think it would be hugely helpful if they moved the application process online! Obviously keep paper forms for those who need them, but online would make a lot of sense. I really don’t understand why they don’t do that.

Great to hear that they’ve started on March. My scan date is 20th of March so hopefully we get a result by mid July at least. Can’t be dealing with constantly calling so I’ll wait to see a payment in the bank (fingers crossed) and post on FB so someone can work out the dates!

That's brilliant you can see a pending payment as I was told payment will be in bank mid week, and that it cab take 7 to 8 days🙄 🤷‍♀️ !

Hi all. I've been following this thread. My scan date is 10th march so im hoping to hear soon. Iv rang a couple of times and been told different dates each time.

Morning all. My scan date is 1st March new claim. Just rang for an update and they said it’s with a decision maker now just waiting for them to look at it. Fingers crossed I hear something soon! X
