@Nicole12345 Thank you. The waiting is killing me. Just want a decision now and hopefully I don’t have to do an MR. I feel like I could have wrote a lot more on her forms now. Just hope she gets what she deserves.

Piony · 18/05/2023 10:38

Nicole12345 · 17/05/2023 15:30

@Piony took about a month for me to receive my confirmation letter to say they received the claim pack but you can also ring up and ask too

thank you @Nicole12345 x

Nicole12345 · 18/05/2023 12:42

@Mummytomy2girls aww I totally get it. Waiting is horrible as you just sit worrying if you could have put more down or if you missed anything or even if they will understand your child’s needs just from a piece of paper. I feel like I’ve been waiting forever myself 😩

Nicole12345 · 18/05/2023 13:35

Hi all, thought I would take a risk and ring again today even though I wasn’t going to bother until Monday. Spoke to a lady who said they aren’t even being taken out the pile until 14.5 weeks and that’s when they be passed to a DM. But then she said give it another 2-3 weeks and it should be with a DM 🤨….. it’s on 13 weeks already so the math isn’t mathing is it 🤦🏼‍♀️ I actually give up

Mumto2sengirlsxx · 18/05/2023 14:45

@Nicole12345 they told me yesterday its another 2 weeks aswell even though last week they said 7-10 days max!! The lady yesterday said they are still working on claims from the 1st week of feb but ive seen people get approved from the 14th feb lately! I dont think they know much and they just say what they are told to say i was told by the school yesterday they want me to go ahead and claim for my youngest aswell for hypermobility as she needs physio etc and adhd so im not enjoying the fact ive gotta do this all over again 🙄 xx

Nicole12345 · 18/05/2023 14:59

@Mumto2sengirlsxx honestly it’s so frustrating isn’t it 🤦🏼‍♀️ yeah she was saying there doing it in date order so nobody is jumping ahead of others which we can see from this group that that isn’t correct.
you are literally told something different each time you call. Oh dear get it in ASAP once this one is done and you’ve gone through it once hopefully it won’t be as stressful the second time around.
I just want it to be over with now

Mumto2sengirlsxx · 18/05/2023 15:08

@Nicole12345 yea they say different things to everyone and as you said we can see on this chat and other forums going by date is not the case at all, i think as soon as you hit 12 weeks as the letter states it should be passed to a dm no matter the wait cause its annoying to know mines not with a dm yet at 13 weeks! Hopefully ours are sorted by next week and yes im going to call next week and order a form for my youngest that wont be done and completed until like september 🤣 but as long as my eldest gets approved then at least its one down it will become a lot more stressful if i have to do a MR with this one! X

upthewallmumof3 · 18/05/2023 15:14

@Nicole12345 they deffo haven't got a clue at their end as we are all getting told different times 🤦🏻‍♀️ I filled my 1st daughters form in myself it literally took me 3 weeks to do but my friend recommended I used an advocate from the brain charity who came out and helped me fill in my 2nd form, which really helped, might be worth seeing if you have this service where you are xxxx

Nicole12345 · 18/05/2023 18:51

I think @upthewallmumof3 post was for you @Mumto2sengirlsxx could be helpful with doing your other daughters claim. I’m not even gonna bother calling them now until next week. Going to try and forget about it

Nicole12345 · 18/05/2023 18:51

Unless any of you with the same scan date as me gets any news… keep us updated and I’ll do the same if I get any news 🥰 xx

TiredOfCleaning · 18/05/2023 19:29

I am not going into details as I am bloody furious. They have asked for extra details that is so fucking stupid I cannot contain myself.

Basically that my british born child is eligible for british benefits.

I might say more tomorrow but today I am beside myself.

upthewallmumof3 · 18/05/2023 19:33

@Nicole12345 it was for u, just because I know how stressful the forms are 😘

upthewallmumof3 · 18/05/2023 19:33

@TiredOfCleaning hope ur ok xxxx

TiredOfCleaning · 18/05/2023 19:37

I am assuming it is because i am a forriner and I personally am not eligible for 'recourse to public funds'. Despite the fact I have been here for more than 20 years and pay taxes and the whole application is about him and not me.

I am going to try and ring tomorrow. But I just feel so helpless. Of course we can redo the whole damned application in the name if DH but really FFS.

upthewallmumof3 · 18/05/2023 19:38

@TiredOfCleaning wow that's awful no wonder u r fewmin 🤬

Mum331 · 18/05/2023 22:43

@TiredOfCleaning I am so sorry, I can only imagine how you are feeling after all that efforts of filling form etc.
Dont be disheartened. I know the technicalities behind this. But keep your head up. Keep strong and I hope you get this sorted xx

Nicole12345 · 18/05/2023 22:53

@upthewallmumof3 i don’t need to fill out another form well not unless he’s rejected but that is god info to know just incase anyone else does xx

Nicole12345 · 18/05/2023 22:55

@TiredOfCleaning oh no! That’s not good to hear! Hopefully they will just be asking for confirmation to confirm. Fingers crossed for you that they’ll get it sorted asap x

TiredOfCleaning · 19/05/2023 06:23

Thanks all. I am feeling more resilient this morning. It came on the back of a long and challenging day. Thankfully i ought to be home around 1300 today and DH has promised to do the school run so i can sit on the phone and work out what is what.

Mummytomy2girls · 19/05/2023 09:34

Just called and they are now saying a 15week wait before a decision maker even picks it up😩

Nicole12345 · 19/05/2023 10:40

@Mummytomy2girls pretty much what I was told yesterday… well they said 14.5 weeks to me 🤷‍♀️ here’s hoping it’s quicker than that xx

barelyfunctional · 19/05/2023 12:11

I’m on week 8 of waiting now so past the halfway point at least (hopefully)!

ItsBritneyBitchhhh · 19/05/2023 13:38

I’m also on week 8 eeekkk! I may unfollow the thread as I’m reminded of DLA everytime I open MN😂

TiredOfCleaning · 19/05/2023 13:39

Right - I am returning to say that i misread the letter i got (possibly due to tiredness and irritation and all round feeling frazzled)

I can take all my stuff to the local jobcentre and they can deal with it.

[shuffles abashedly..... changes personal default setting from 'blow up' to 'read things properly').

I shall say nothing about the fact that I am a solicitor who failed to read the small print....

Nicole12345 · 19/05/2023 14:20

@TiredOfCleaning haha that’s good news that you can get it sorted easily. Ahh I think I can speak for us all and say we totally understand that frazzled feeling x
