@Mumto2sengirlsxx yeah I totally agree I just want to know now whatever it may be. The waiting is the worst… i updated them on a few things whilst I was there. The lady on the phone was super nice and did try and answer all my questions about the long waits but I suppose they don’t really know do they. I just hope I hear this week and don’t have another long week or worst another after that xx

Mumto2sengirlsxx · 15/05/2023 14:16

@Nicole12345 i havent told them about any updates on my end with my daughter incase it delays our claim so im gonna use it if she gets declined for the MR... i hope we hear something this week the bloke said 7-10 days max too me so hopefully if not this week we will hear something start of next i dont know how much longer i can deal with the stress of it all tbh 😅 i need to call and ask them to text me with the decision but i cant be bothered to be on hold its been taking me nearly 2 hours to get through lately xx

Nicole12345 · 15/05/2023 14:43

@Mumto2sengirlsxx oh god I hope this doesn’t delay it further 🤦🏼‍♀️ yeah it’s super stressful quicker it over with the better.

Mumto2sengirlsxx · 15/05/2023 15:21

Hi all, been following this thread for a while now. My son was I receipt of DLA from 2019 to Oct last year. I didn’t get a renewal form through so it stopped, and I had to reapply from scratch. Scan date was 10/02, and I got my 1st text on 17/04.
got a second text last Weds to say they are still looking at the claim and the same again today at 12:30. But then got another text at 2:30 to say that it has been awarded!!! So just over 13 weeks wait in total. Not sure of amount yet but hoping it’s the same as before- LRM & MRC. My son is 15 in October so will only have a year and a bit till we need to apply for PIP- which I’m dreading…

good luck to all still waiting.

Hei1234 · 15/05/2023 17:10

My scan date is 16/03 so I have a while yet

Mum331 · 15/05/2023 19:14

Hi @MamaBearClaire that must be a huge relief so happy for you and your son. Let's hope our wait isn't too long. I feel they have a back log thats why they keep pushing time scale forward! Its so hard all the waiting best thing to do is to try and distract your self Xx

NDandMe · 15/05/2023 19:15

Has anyone submitted more evidence after a scan date but before a decision? My ds's school has a much more detailed behaviour plan in place, including a risk assessment and an Ed Psych report (soon). I'd like to send that to DLA if possible, to further support the application. What's the best way to go about it?

Unknown123qw · 15/05/2023 20:02

What's Ur scan date? I'd ring up and ask them AV u got enuff time to send further evidence that's what I did they told me I had about 3 weeks left when I did so I just sent it as fast as possible recorded delivery x

Ll333 · 15/05/2023 20:08

My scan date is 20/03 and I’ve just sent more evidence today via recorded delivery. Just sent it to their Freepost address in an envelope along with my son’s full name and date of birth on the evidence. Good luck🤞

Yes, I got a letter saying the same.

Perfect, thanks!

mum3667 · 16/05/2023 08:25

Hi all,
I've been watching this thread for a while. Just wanted to let you know my timescale. Scan date 10/02. I received text messages 17/4, 10/5, and yesterday, all saying they were still looking at the claim and not to contact them. Received a payment in bank this morning. No confirmation text.
Very grateful to have finally got somewhere. Im assuming they've been awarded LRC and LRM from the amount, which I don't necessarily agree with, but not sure if I have the strength for a MR.
Good luck to everyone still waiting

Mummytofivegirls · 16/05/2023 08:27

@upthewallmumof3 my daughter got awarded on Friday, I rang Friday morning and was told it was decision maker that was at like 10am then at half 12 I got a text saying she had been awarded 🥰

upthewallmumof3 · 16/05/2023 09:55

@Mummytofivegirls I'm on hold now have been since 9 but I'm in work! Thank god my manager is amazing! Xxx

Peachlollipop · 16/05/2023 10:04

Just wondering aloud… when they send the texts, is that because they’ve had the claim for a certain amount of time or because they are close to a decision?

Mum3667- glad you’ve got a decision and award. Sorry it’s not what you hoped it would be. Maybe take a few days to gather your thoughts and find out why they made the decision they did and consider whether to appeal it. I know how exhausting this sort of thing is.

upthewallmumof3 · 16/05/2023 10:10

Oh girls after being on hold since 9 the call failed 😱 maybe it's a sign 😩

Nicole12345 · 16/05/2023 10:36

@upthewallmumof3 oh no! That’s the worst happened to me a few times when calling them too.
Are you going to try again?
we can’t be far off a decision now surely! I’m worried now my sons will be delayed as I gave them extra information on the phone yesterday and probably should have waiting for the decision first 🤦🏼‍♀️

Nicole12345 · 16/05/2023 10:40

@Peachlollipop yeah I believe they are just generic messages/letter that are sent out probably in a hope to stop people calling

upthewallmumof3 · 16/05/2023 15:50

@Nicole12345 I've rang back 4 times and it keeps cutting off between 50-58 mins 🤬

Nicole12345 · 16/05/2023 15:52

Omg really! That’s really bad and super annoying when you have spent all that time waiting on hold @upthewallmumof3
