Called up today and the wait gets pushed back further and further has anyone been awarded recently

@ToughMum what's your scan date? Mines 20th December and DM called me on Friday so 12 weeks

Its hard going. I've also got a 5 year old and he struggles with his brothers ways. I can't see him getting HCR but if he did I think I'd definitely leave work

@AnxietyMumma scan date 29th December reckon I still have a couple of weeks yet at least. To be honest my sons needs have increased since I did his form. He is now more of a danger to himself climbing things kicking and spitting. I didn't add all this to form.

But he has quite a few diagnosis so I did talk about a high level of supervision is needed especially at night as he has seizures praying he gets what he rightfully deserves. I am not sure what it will be but trying not to think about it too much. Yes i have a 7yo and it is affecting his mental health too as he struggles to cope with his brother's aggression and ill health. So difficult. Lack of sleep is a killer too.

Hi ive been following for a while i sent my renewal forms off early december my scan date is 4th january. Has anyone ever heard of a renewal not being awarded ?

@Gp123456 hi, i used to ask the same question.. i was convinced my sons renewal was going to be declined as i didn't send any evidence in but a statement from school. But i was relieved to hear that 7 days before award ended he was being kept on mrc and recieved the lrm element too. So don't worry too much its stressful i know
I've not heard of anyone's being declined, all should be OK :)

I didnt have any evidence to send in but shes been awarded the last 2 renewals but im sure was alot quicker its not up till april 12th just starting to worry now but i have seen a few people arent hearing back until right up till the claims ended

@Gp123456 i think it’s because they are that snowed under with new claims they are leaving renewals right until the last week or so, mine was only done 3 days before my old award ended and he was kept on the same rates as before, it makes you think the worst when it’s taking so long but try not to worry too much

@Snickerdoodles19 @Nicnac91 its so stressful waiting. Do you know do you get paid in arrears or upfront as her payment would be due 18th april as its due tomorrow but her claim ends 12th april

@Gp123456 im not sure to be honest, my payment was due until Tuesday 21st but I got a 3 week payment on Tuesday 14th due to it being the date the old award ended, the lady I spoke with said that it worked that way due to the new award starting so my next payment will be 11/4 a week earlier than what I would have had it, if all that makes sense don’t be worried if you get a payment on the day the award ends

Just called got through after 2 mins. Still not with a dm 🤯

35 minute wait to find out my sons claim has had a decision made but she can't tell me as it needs to be checked by someone higher up... 1% of claims need authorisation and it so happens its ours...

Now I'm Ridiculously nervous and need to call back on Friday to be told if it's been declined or accepted

Week 12 on the 23rd. I've seen other people scan date 28/12 have had payment and decision on FB page. So hoping won't be waiting much longer. Scan date 29/12.

Scan date 21st December so week 13 for me. Had my usual Monday morning meeting and came back to find three missed calls from DWP. Will they ring back or should i call them must be urgent to have three missed calls, worrying now

So I rang up today to see what my son got and I was very surprised! the man said he recieved HRC and LRM! I wasnt expecting HR because of the small amount of supporting evidence I submitted! So for anyone who is worried about the amount of evidence they sent don't lose hope as I hardly sent any and still got HR for him! Good Luck to all of you still waiting mine took 13 weeks in total I hope you all get what your little one's deserve. x

Mines scan data 19th dec and still not gone to dm she said 15 weeks I'm on week 13 now

i’ve been lurking on these forums since december my boy just got awarded dla mrc backdated to november 😱 really didn’t expect the decision as saw so many declines with more evidence than me , all i had were community peadiattics referrals , a letter from hv referring the peadiatrics for delay and autism query and a few failed hearing tests results and a hand written note highlighting his needs above other 3 year olds , so please don’t lose heart and good luck with all your claims ❤️

Just called mines still not with dm either scan date 16th Dec.

Is it area specific for how long you wait or just dependant where you are in the ‘pile’? I’m 9 weeks have been told 12/13 and 14/15 before a decision is made but seen some people get the award at 12 weeks

Just rang and was awarded Lrc and Lrm backdated to the 09/12/2022 so pleased the wait is finally over.

Think it's just luck people a couple of weeks after me have been awarded and mine hasn't been looked at yet. People did say area but I'm liverpool and still waiting x

Thank you I just rang to check if they received a document I sent and they advised over 15 weeks now
